I haven't tried this yet but I have to say thanks! It is a good thing that you have done to help parents monitor their children's internet activity. Monitoring, not filtering, is the answer to internet control for families. There will be no one but God wa ching after they move out of my house. By monitoring them while they are under my guidence I have the opportunity to address the root problems of visiting inappropriate sites. May God bless you. Greg Truran

Haven't tested the program yet. It seems that it has the same problem as most of the online time and cost monitors: if your phonecompany's connection fee includes say first 10 minutes and the minute rate starts after that Internet Logger will not be accur te i.e. it starts counting from the first minute. Actually, the program is ok but I'm the one with a problem. See Ya

Actually I am not too sure whether it was from tucows.com or some other site I got it from. However, I do have a problem, actually I think I messed things up on installation. Anyway, presently I am getting a warning window stating Runtime Error 13 - Typ mismatch, and when I hit the OK Logger2 just closes. I did try uninstalling Logger2 and re-installing but that did'nt help either, I feel there is a file somewhere which is not being deleted, as when I re-install it does not go through the whole set-up process as it did first time I installed your program. Would certainly like to hear from you with any suggestions toward a solution to my problem, certainly looking forward to using Logger-2. All the best, Jimmy.

Nice to see that someone is doing this well-needed job. I had a shareware application, some years ago, that had a similar function, though very different in many ways, called Log In Log, now defunct, as I am working on well-paid, bigger things now. Keep u the good work.

When starting Internet Logger for the first time it asks you for Master Password. At this moment you should choose YOUR master password! Follow the instructions on that dialog.

Email me as soon as you get it working for three flatmates using one conection, with a limit on the cheap bastard that's always late with the rent. I keep getting a "runtime error 13" with the current version, but I'll gladly outlay some cash to get it wo king so that all dial up's are password and timed. If your after a challenge, we also have 1 desktop and 2 mobiles with the one dial up account (only one at a time, but three machines). To be able to log all of the calls would make things so much easier a bill time, hopefully easier than splitting up the Interstate phone bills every month!

Thanks for this great wee program - It's proved a lifesaver at the end of the month when it comes to splitting an internet bill. A couple of wee bugs though ... The typeface on the bargraph corrupts occasionally and becomes very large. Every now and then about 3 times) it has failed to write an "out" time to the log file too so we make a habit of checking it after each session and manually correcting it which seems to do the trick. Apart from that, excellent work. I'd definitely shell out a few bucks for a bug free version.

I am searching for a program that I can use to control the amount of time my sons are on the internet.   The program needs to be password controlled so that each of my sons will have their separate amount of daily time.  I would like it to have some of the features listed below.   ***  Be able to allot so much time to given password accounts per day or per week.   ***  When time for the day or week has been used up...internet access is blocked   *** Needs to be password protected and able to handle multiple "accounts" because I have two sons who use the same computer.   I am aware of Cyber Patrol and the built in features.  However with Cyber Patrol the time control is built around "when" the internet can be accessed, compared to allowing people to use their available time whenever they wish.   Michael,  do you know of any such software program that allows a parent the time controls that I am asking about.   Thanks for your response.   Jim Walker

Is it possible to write a utility that would sense the need for a connection "dial on demand" and give the option to execute a file instead of making a call to the DUN API? We have cable modems in our area that connect by using an application that initia izes the cable modem and then makes a call to the DUN API to start a dial-up session for the upstream connection. If it can be done, I would have many happy customers.
