Unfortunately, few celebrities have caught on to the style that Capri affords. Hopefully, fellow Capri fans will let me know if I've forgotten anything here...
Celebrity Capri Sightings
Actress and former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy is a Capri smoker! An image from her calendar a few years ago confirms it, as well as numerous articles and reported sightings.
Adult film star Asia Carrera smokes Capri 120s, and can be seen doing so both on-screen and off.
Comedienne Sandra Bernhardt once walked on to Late Night with David Letterman smoking a Capri, and later lit another.
Actress Catherine Deneuve has been known to smoke Capri.
Famous widow Yoko Ono was reported to have been smoking Capri during a magazine interview.
Capri Movie Sightings
In the film "Unhook the Stars," Marisa Tomei smoked Capri, probably Ultra Lights.
In an interview for People magazine, actress Courteney Cox stated that during the filming of "Scream 2," she wanted her character to smoke "those really cheesy thin cigarettes, Capri." While I'm impressed that Ms. Cox knew about Capri, I can't help but take points off for referring to Capri in derogatory terms. Her character's smoking scene was so brief, it is nearly impossible to tell if she did indeed smoke Capri.
The film "Cold Sweat" features actress Shannon Tweed smoking Capri Menthol. Rumor has it that she has smoked Capri in another movie. I am still awaiting confirmation. If this turns out to be true, we may have another real-life Capri smoker!
In the Traci Lords film "Not of This Earth" (1988), one of the hookers is seen chewing on a Capri, never lighting it (a shame).
