THE REAL EXPERIENCE
Soon I'll have this section ready to tell you all about my South African real experience. I don't have the it up right now because I'm waiting to get more pics up. But for now I just have a review of what went down for my South African trip and why I went over there and everything. So here it is...

This summer I embarked on an adventure of a lifetime. I traveled to the exotic paradise of the beautiful Cape Town, South Africa for the entire summer!!! I have truly dreamt of going to Africa every since I was a small child, seriously. And thanks to an exceptional scholarship that I received from National Security Education Programs, my wish came true. My academic purpose for going abroad was to study at both University of Western Cape and the technical institute Peninsula Technikon. The University of Western Cape was mainly meant to introduce me to the languages, history, politics, economics and culture of South Africa. I studied at the University through the student exchange program LEXIA. And Peninsula Technikon will had heavy emphasis on the technical field of South Africa since my college major is Electronics Technology.

About South Africa, if you can’t tell by the name already, it’s the bottommost country of the African continent (I’ve colored it in grey on the map to the right to point it out to you). And recently like in 1994, the country came out of the state of apartheid, which means the fall of white authority. Now of course by now you may be thinking "Dude, you’re black and like all the white people were like totally pissed off at you because whites no longer rule, wern't you scared?". Well the answer to that fokes was no, there was almost nothing on this entire planet that woulde have scared or stoped me from enjoying my dreams. But like other countries they are all learning to get along with each other. I will say this though, if was anything that was to scare me about South Africa, it was catching traveler’s diarrhea cuz no body wants to be laying sick in bed while on vacation.
But the changes that South Africa is going through has happened thanks to the Presidency of Nelson Mandela, who had been imprisoned for 30 years for trying to better South Africa. So I definitely believe Nelson Mandela is truly one of the greatest men in history. I give him all props for turning his country’s ways of operating around and for being so strong even while he was imprisoned. Unfortunately, I did not see him but when I go back perhaps he'll invite me over for dinner or something like that, yo that would be tight.

Cape Town's the city where I stayed like most of the time. On the map to the left, you can see where exactly Cape Town lays. It’s down in the lower west side of the country right on the coast. Some say that Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with some of the bueatiful females and yo I'm telling you for a fact that both of those statements are true!!! However, there was one down side about staying in South Africa (not that I was complaining), it was a little chilly compared to here in the states. Being that they are below the equator, there seasons are like totally oppisite compared to ours. So their winters are when we have our summers and their summers are when we have our winters, get it? Well anyway, but like I said, I wasn't sweating it though.

Well it appears that this is all for now me peeplz. But let me tell ya, when I get myself all straight and everything with developing pictures and everything then I'll tell you even more bout my trip. Hope everyone had an extremely coolio dadeluk summer also. But yo, like I said, I promise I'll post my pics cause I took like a gazillion of them. I'm not to much of a photographer but I tried my best to get good shotz. So let me know what you think. You can Sign the Guestbook to let me know what you think of this page or you can just check out the quize results of how people thought my trip was gonna be.
