Sicyon   v. 1.7   by Teodor Krastev
  Size: 850 K    Win95, Win98, WinNT    18-Nov-99
download
Sicyon is all-in-one freeware tool for everyone dealing with sci/eng formulae. The core of Sicyon is an expression calculator and the principal features are: estimate a function using variables, user-defined functions and over 50 built-in functions; tabulate or plot a function; find real roots, minimums, maximums and definite integral of a function; sophisticated units converter; database reader with various physical and chemical constants; various tools as add-in applications.
Interactive Periodic Table   v. 1.0   by Jonathan Frick
  Size: 1.6 M    Win95, Win98    15-Oct-99
download
The Interactive Periodic Table is an excellent chemistry reference program that can display atomic properties visually either directly on the table or in plotted form. Plots can easily be drawn on for presentations. The program also includes electron configuration data and a molecular weight calculator.
  Periodic Table 2000   v. 2.2   by Hankware
  Size: 20 K    Win95, Win98    02-Aug-99
download
This is a free, SMALL periodic table program that is very useful, especially for it's size. Requires VB4 runtimes.
  Equilibrate   v. 1.1   by GertJan C. Veenstra
  Size: 2.4 M    Win95, WinNT    16-Apr-99
download
Equilibrate software can be used as a scientific or educational tool in biochemistry and molecular biology for quantitative analysis of molecular interactions. The program calculates steady state equilibria and dissociation constants for molecules that interact with each other. This includes statistical evaluation of Scatchard analysis data. Examples of biochemical interactions that occur in living organisms or in vitro include signal transduction receptors binding their ligand, transcription factors binding to their cognate sequence element in DNA, and regulatory subunits of enzymes interacting with the catalytic subunit.
  Chemland   v. 5.0   by C.H.E.W.
  Size: 10 M    Win95, Win98, WinNT    10-Jan-99
download
Chemland is a program that provides students with interactive chemistry simulations, and runs in any MS Windows environment.
Chime   v. 1.0   by Eric Martz
  Win95, Win98, Mac    27-Sep-98
Chime shows molecules like RasMol (see listing below), but unlike RasMol, Chime shows molecules inside a web page. Chime shows only the molecules written into the web page by its author.
RasMol   v. 1.0   by Eric Martz
  Win95, Win98, UNIX Mac    27-Sep-98
RasMol is free software for looking at molecular structures. You must download a free PDB data file for each molecule you wish to view. It is very fast: rotating a protein or DNA molecule shows its 3D structure.
Molecular Weight Calculator   v. 3.2   by Matthew Monroe
  Size: 466 K    Win95    08-Apr-98
download
The Molecular Weight Calculator calculates a molecule's molecular weight (or formula weight), and the molecule's percent composition, displaying the results for up to seven compounds simultaneously. Requires VB5 runtimes.
BK Periodic Library   v. 1.8   by Bill Klein
  Size: 362 K    Win95, WinNT    15-Jan-98
download
An interactive Periodic Table of the Elements for Windows. This program takes full advantage of your computer's capabilities to give you an in-depth look at the the elements that make up our earth, the solar system, the galaxy.. well, let's just say everything.
  Chem-It   v. 1.0   by Bob Gibbons
  Win95    19-Oct-97
download
Chem-It is a program for the novice Chemistry student. I always found that I could never get everything together when I was doing my Chem. problem sets. I'd always be juggling between the periodic table, conversion charts, and my laptop. Chem-It was designed in response to this problem. I wrote it using Visual Basic 4.0 Professional. The current version is only for Windows 95.
ChemBalance Wizard   v. 1.0   by Michael L. Betz and Jason P. Hupka
  Size: 736 K    Win95, WinNT    23-Jun-97
download
ChemBalance Wizard accepts up to ten chemical species as input and produces one or more balanced chemical equations. If no balanced equations exist for the given species, the user is informed that none can be produced. The rapid balancing of the chemical equations makes this program a useful tool for students and teachers alike!
