Chapter 1:

“Hey ya’ll!” Jess screamed into the crowd.

“Tonight is Friday, which means Karaoke, but with us, the Backstreet Girls!!!!” Ashley screamed out.

“For you newcomers, we are best friends who enjoy to dance and sing. We have memorized the Backstreet dances and the music.” Nicole said.

“Here’s our first song for the night, Hey, Mr. DJ! This one is for you, Jess.” Allison pointed to Jess.

“Oh, yea.” Jess said. They all got into their places as a group of 5 guys looked up in interest. The five girls began to dance as the music started and Jess took AJ’s part. The crowd roared as they did the choreography and the five guys looked at each other, seeing the group’s talent. The song ended and the crowd applauded. “Alrighty, now we are going to do solos.” The other four girls left the stage as Jess stole the show. “Who wants me to do That’s What She Said?” The crowd applauded. “Who wants I Need You Tonight?” The crowd screamed. “Well, I’ll do I Need You Tonight right now and later I’ll bring my guitar out and do That’s What She Said, alright?” The crowd screamed as the mysterious five stared, waiting to see this girl sing.

Jess began to walk down the stairs to serenade someone as she always did and the guys loved it. Kyle, the owner, said to look for newcomers and there were five, all in hats. So she began to make her way over there. She decided to sing to all of them, but sit on one of their laps. She fixed her mic over her mouth and chose the blonde one. “All those endless times we tried to make it last forever more. And baby I know I neeeed you. Oh, oh, yeah.” She pointed to him and walked over to him and sat on his lap. “I know deep within my heart I doesn’t matter if it's wrong or right. I really need you. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” She belted out. She got off his lap and walked around the five. She stopped at the last guy and sang the last few words to him. The audience broke out into screams and applause. “Thanks guys. Now here is Ashley with a song she wrote, sorry it isn’t a BSB song, but I basically took em all from them. Like Lay Down Beside Me. Anyways.. Here she is!!!” Jess said into the mic and her hand went behind her back and flipped the switch on the battery pack, off.

“Jess, great job.” Jess turned around and there was Kyle.

“Thank you Kyle. I better have sounded good, otherwise what have these past months been for?” She joked.

“Yup. Alright go get change for the next songs.” Kyle gave her a high five and as Jess ran past the newcomers, she heard a voice say something along the terms of ‘hot chick.’ She ignored it and ran backstage.

“Jess, we are doing Let’s Have A Party after our solos.” Allison said as Nicole went on stage and Ashley came on.

“Alright, where is Laur?” Jess asked.

“Try the bathroom.” Ashley said.

“Make-up and hair?” Jess asked.

“Yup. That reminds me.. Gotta change.” Ashley joked.

“Geez, all I have to do is change hats and shoes. I also have to take this over jacket off.” A sock was thrown at her and it hit her head. “Hey!” she whined.

15 minutes later they were all back on stage, getting ready to perform Let’s Have A Party. “O my god, I’m back again.” Jess sang. The rest of the girls began to laugh.

“That’s actually our song, tomorrow!” Lauren said. “We come back again.” She sang.

“Hi my name is Brian but you can call me B-Rok because I’ll be rocking your house!” Jess joked and again 4 out of the 5 guys looked at yet a different person and were laughing hysterically. “And you know for Kevin’s solo, he needs new dance steps.” Jess proved her point by dancing it and ending it how he did at the homecoming concert. The audience was laughing hysterically.

“All right, how about we pick this up and have a party?” Ashley asked, the background music coming the song.

“Sounds great. Who’s taking lead?” Jess asked.

“You!” Ashley, Lauren, Nicole and Allison said.

“All right, Nicky boy move over because here comes me!” Jess joked. Four of the newcomers looked at the blond guy who Jess had sat on, his face red as ever. The one with the leopard hat on was laughing hysterically.

Jess began to sing, “I’ve been watching you, you’ve been watching me.” She began to serenade to the group of guys. “I like the way you sway,” Jess was moving her body. “Looking good.” She winked at them. “Holding hands, been close, Sharing our first kiss.” She said into the mic. “moving to the groove yeah..” The other girls coming in for background.

Chapter 2

Jess sat backstage, doing homework as the other girls were doing songs. She began to sing along and noticed her mic was still on. She reached behind her and turned it off. “Sorry,” she mouthed to one of the girls who stuck their head in to tell her. That’s the Way I like it began to play and she sat there, wishing she were on stage. “Forget homework.” She talked into the mic, telling the girls she was coming out. She jumped onto stage and began singing Nick’s part. She added to the choreography.

“Poof after midnight, uh.” Lauren said. The five girls began to do the choreography. The song ended and the girls looked at each other, tired from dancing.

“Hey ya’ll sorry but I was doing homework and I couldn’t stay away from this song, so I came in.”

“And at the correct part, too.” Ashley added.

Allison began, “Well it's time for a song, written by Jess inspired by this club, but it began in the shower.. Hmm what a place to write a song, J.”

“Shut up! Well, anyways, I choreographed the song, so here goes.” The girls turned around and the lights went dark. The music began and Jess turned around, a spotlight on her. “Tonight I’m going to the club. Tonight I’m going with my friends. Tonight, I’m gonna find a man.”

The rest of the girls turned around and they began the chorus. “Tonight I’m gonna daaaaaaanncceeee the night away. I’m gonna daaaaaance till the break of dawn. Tonight I’m gonna daaaance the night away. I’m gonna daaaaance til the break of dawn.”

Jess began her other singing part, “Tonight is the night, I’m gonna find a man. I’m gonna.. I’m gonna find one. I see you there watching me, up on this stage, giving ya all I got. All you see is a pretty girl dancing and singing. You doooooooooooooon’t know what I’m like. You dooooooooonn’t know if I am free. You doooooooooooon’t know if I could be three.” She was looking at AJ the whole time, her eyes sparkling in the light.

The chorus began again and Jess walked back into the line and came in the right step. “I gonna daaaaaaaance the night away.” The group sang.

Soon Ashley walked up to the center of the stage singing. “I’m at the cluuuub tonight. I’m gonna haaaave the best night of my life.” She said the last lyric moving her hips to each beat. “I’m grooving with ma friends and having a kiiiiiiiick-ass time. Yeehaw!” She said, laughing and walked back to the line, bring in the chorus.

Jess walked up again. “I neeeeeed a boy, yesssss I do. I’m gonna finnnnnnnnnnnd one tonighhhhhhhhhht. It could be you, or you, you or you. Or I could be none of you.” She sang, flirtatiously, she winked at the guy in the leopard hat when she pointed to him. Soon the song was over and the audience was in a roar.

“Give it up for the songwriter, Jess!” Nicole said, clapping. Jess could hear some catcalls being made and she began to blush.

“All right, enough. I’m not that good of a songwriter, although I have this greeeeeeeeat ballad.” She smiled and began to hum. “I knowww that I loooooove you. OHHHHHHH yeah. Yeah yeah.” She cleared her throat. “Never mind, I still have to work on those vocals.”

“Girl, all you need work on is homework.” Allison said, laughing.

“Hey, I’m not that bad with work, I just get distracted because of music. Anyways, we’re bringing tonight down to a slow dance. We will not be singing.” The audience booed. “Yeah yeah, but the good thing is five of you single guys will be dancing with one of us. Ready girls?” She looked back at them and they all nodded. Jess pointed at the guy with the leopard hat and motioned him to come up. “Ok girls, I got my guy. Go get yours.” The stranger walked up to her and she put her hand behind her back to turn her mic off. “Hi, I’m Jessie.” She introduced herself, putting her hand out.

“Nice to meet ya. My name’s Alex.” The mysterious hot guy some what lied, shaking her hand.

“I love the hat, I have one but didn’t wear it tonight. Go fig.” She joked. She turned her mic back on. “Hey ya’ll, this is Alex. Say hi to Alex.” The audience responded. She turned her mic off and looked back up to the stranger, he looked very familiar, but she couldn’t but her finger on where. The girls returned with guys following them and Marc Anthony’s My Baby You came on.

“Would you dance with me?” AJ asked her.

“Of course,” she said, putting her arms around his neck as his arms wrapped themselves around her waist. “So, Alex what brings you here to this bar?”

“I had free time so, I came with a bunch of my friends.”

“I could tell, but those guys in black stiffened up when I went down to ya’ll. Why?”

“Well, it's hard to explain.”

“Shh.” She said, putting a finger up. She began to sing the chorus to the song, “My baby you are the reason why I’m alive..”

AJ pulled her closer and she willingly let him move her closer to him. he began to sing along, forgetting about hiding his identity. She placed her head on his shoulder, her eyes closing as she smelt his cologne. She smiled to hear his voice blend in, but instantly knew it who it was. The chorus ended and she was about to talk to him but his sweet voice kept singing. She just laid her head back down, and closed her eyes, smiling as the couple swayed back and forth together almost looking like they were dating. The song ended and Jess looked back up to AJ. “Why didn’t you tell me, AJ. I wouldn’t have freaked.”

“I didn’t want to get mobbed. I’m sorry.”

“It’s ok.” She smiled. She turned on her mic. “Hey ya’ll let’s have a song on like a club would, then it's nighty night for ya’ll.” She smiled to the audience.

“Care to dance?” AJ asked as she turned her mic off.

“Sure. I’d like that.” She said. They began to grind together, Jess watching AJ’s moves and AJ watching hers. Together, they were fantastic dancers, getting into the music and responding to each other’s movements. The rest of the Backstreet Boys watched intently as they sipped their drinks. They knew AJ had it bad for her.

“I’d like to see you again.” He almost screamed to her, over the loud music.

“I’d like to see you again, too. I’ll be at the concert tomorrow night.” She screamed back.

“That’s great. I’ll meet you in the front after you close to give you a backstage pass, so you can get in, ok?”

“AJ, I couldn’t.”

“Of course you could, it's easy. I’ll be waiting outside for you. Please say you will.” He looked into her blue eyes and put on his best puppy face.

“Fine, but only because your adorable.” She flirted.

“No, you’re the gorgeous one here.”

“AJ!” She laughed, “What a flirt!”

“Hey, you got me under your spell.”

“Dork.” She laughed. “All right, after we end the show wait outside for me. I’ll be out in like 5 minutes.”

“Great.” The song ended and AJ kissed her cheek and thanked her and jumped off the stage to tell the guys to leave with out him.

“All right ya’ll. We won’t be back tomorrow.” Jess said.

“Yeah. We are going to see our boys in concert.” Ashley screamed.

“God, I’m already nervous!” Nicole gushed.
