Chapter 3
“CJ!!!!!” Jess screamed as
she entered.
“JESS!!!!” CJ screamed as loud as she could. Her best friend ran over
and hugged her.
“Hey, CJ. Nice to see you up again.” Brian said.
“You too, Bri.”
“OMG, CJ. YOU HAD US SCARED THERE FOR A WHILE! I’LL GET THAT SON OF
A…” Jess said.
“JESS!” Brian screamed.
“Wha?” she asked, smirking. The smirk disappeared as she saw
Brian’s face. “Ok.. sorry. But you know what I mean.” She said.
CJ looked down and nodded. “Yea, I know what you mean.” She said,
gloomily.
Everyone looked at her. Jess came closer to her best friend. “CJ,
don’t blame yourself for what happened! It isn’t your fault.”
“Yes it is,” CJ cried. “I went out with him, again. This time it
was worse than the other time. Why did I let my heart decide instead of my
brain?” She slapped herself with the palm of her hand.
“CJ! You didn’t know what would happen. You decided to give him a
chance. Next time, you will know better than that! Don’t let it get to you, if
it did, he achieved his goal! Don’t give in to a creep like that.” Jess
said.
“Guys, can I talk to her alone?” Nick said. Brian and Jess nodded,
leaving quickly. CJ was quietly crying, Nick climbed on the bed, putting his
arms around her. “Shhhhh.” He said, comforting her. She felt Nick’s arms
around her. She turned in his arms and kept crying.
She looked up, “Nick, I have been waiting for you for so long.” She
put on a smile. He smiled back and put his hand up to her face, tracing her jaw
and cheek. She started to cry, she buried her face in his chest.
“Sweetie, this isn’t your fault.” She kept crying. “Don’t blame
yourself, you didn’t know what to do. I guess part of you still likes him. You
couldn’t believe that he would beat you again, am I right?” She only nodded.
“He’s a bad guy. You deserve much better. Someone who will treat you like a
princess, be there for you 24/7, have a real relationship with.. “ He was cut
off by her voice.
“You, that’s who I want. You. You have always treated me as a
princess, you have always been there for me, and we have always had a real
relationship, just ignored. I need you. I mean, it was fate that you were there
as Cliff stabbed me. Here you are, comforting me. Telling me I deserve better
than him. And you are the answer. I have always loved you and always will.”
She had stopped crying and had a permanent smile on her face. They were staring
into each other’s eyes, him stroking her cheek, her holding onto his arm. As
if in slow motion, they both leaned in and closed their eyes. Their lips met and
a spark fell through out both of their bodies.

(Meanwhile-Brian and Jess-
looking through glass to the couple in the room)
“I can't believe it. She blames herself!” Jess exclaimed. Brian
squeezed her tighter. His arms were around her waist, her back to his front.
“It’s ok, Nick will convince her.” They stood in silence for a
while as they saw CJ turn and him caress her face. CJ started to cry again and
buried her head into Nick’s chest. His lips kept moving, she didn’t stop
crying. She lifted her head and interrupted him by speaking. They couldn’t see
her smile, but knew by Nick’s stare into her eyes that everything was going
fine. As if in slow motion, the two leaned in and closed their eyes. As their
lips met, Jess squealed in delight. “FINALLY!!” She exclaimed, startling
Brian.
“Aww. They are so cute together. I think he finally told her.” Brian
said.
“I think she finally told him… Wait! What did you say?” Jess asked
after speaking at the same time as Brian.
“He told her.”
“Told her what?”
“That he loves her.”
“And she must have told him that she loves him.” she turned in
Brian’s arms. She giggled at Brian’s shocked face. She waved her hand in
front of his face, “Sweetie?” She noticed no response and giggled. He was so
silly. “Lets see, if I took off my clothes, you think he would notice?” She
said, talking to no one but herself. She saw Brian’s eyes light up and a grin
start to appear. “Unhuh, buddy. You know my policy.” She giggled and kissed
his mouth, which was hanging open.
He stood in shock of what she had suggested, taking off her clothes. Of
course, he knew her policy. They would take it slow, and she was set on saving
her virginity until marriage. They had been going out for atleast two years now.
No one but BSB and their parents knew they were going out, she had just been
named as Nick’s friend’s friend who was accompanying Brian to any event. You
could think of all the publicity, a 20 year old with a 25 year old.
5 year difference, so what? Soon, it would be changed to fiancé. At
least, Brian hoped. When they broke apart from each other, they were breathless.
Her eyes shined in the dim light and made him melt.
His eyes shined in the dim light and made her melt. Good thing he was
holding her, she would have fallen on the ground.
He felt her become weak as they stared into each other’s eyes. He held
on tighter, helping her remain standing. They hugged, both thinking about the
other and her words. She smelled so good today, his favorite perfume on her,
Tommy Girl. Her skin was so soft and he loved her grayish blue eyes when they
sparkled in the light. He ran his fingers through her long, red tinted brown
hair. He loved how it shaped her face, it tickled his face when they kissed. He
wanted her so badly, but knew her promise was very important her.
As they hugged, Jess noticed how he had the cologne that she loved on.
She breathed it in, her heart skipping beats. His skin was so soft to touch. His
eyes sparkled when they caught the light in any room. She put her fingers
through his curly brown hair. She was pondering about her words. She wanted him
so bad, wishing she hadn’t made that promise. She was afraid things would
change after sex. ‘I think I am ready to go to the next step.’ She said to
herself.
