Chapter 2:

Jess was now living with Nick in Orlando and their parents were fine with it. When Jess had gotten positioned in Nick’s room, she sat down on the bed, watching her boyfriend who was playing a video game. She smiled and played with his hair. “Has it been 5 years already?” Jess asked.

“What angel?” He asked.

“It’s been 5 years already?”

He shut the game and TV off. “Unhuh and 5 years since the first time we made love.” He kissed her, which made her giggle.

She laid on her stomach and sighed. “Do you remember that?”

“Of course. It was the most memorable night, beside the fact that we were 15 and it was our first time.”

“Yeah. We planned for it in advance.” She giggled. He laid down next to her and put an arm around her.

Flashback:

Jess and Nick laid on the bed, watching Wayne’s World. Nick was home from touring for a week for Christmas and they were spending time together, the two best friends. Out of nowhere, Jess asks, “Nicky have you ever wonder what sex feels like?”

“Actually, yeah. I have.” Nick said, carefully looking in her eyes.

“I mean I totally believe in waiting until marriage but I wanna know what it feels like.”

“Me too.” Nick said. After awhile he said, “You want to try it?” He was very shy about saying this but Jess knew what he meant.

“Only if you want to.” She said, hoping in her heart he did.

“I do.” Nick said, his eyes sparkling as she looked into them.

“Good. So when do we have a house to ourselves? Because we can't exactly do it when someone is home?” Jess said.

“Hold on. I’ll be right back.” A few minutes later he was back. “Our parents and family are going to be at a wedding tomorrow but we can stay home and have a sleepover like the old days. They won’t be home till the next night.”

“That’s great, Nicky.” She said, smiling. “I gotta go. I’m so tired.” She yawned. “What time tomorrow?”

“Come at six. I’ll make dinner.” Nick said.

“Great.” She smiled. The two hugged and Jess ran downstairs, saying her goodbyes to his family.

Next day:

Jess spent the day getting ready, very anxious for that night. Meanwhile, Nick prepared with buying food and many other things. She spent an hour taking a bath and he spent an hour putting rose petals all over his room. Soon it was 5 minutes to 6 and everyone was gone. Jess walked over, in her Mudd jeans and cute shirt on. She rang the door bell, very nervous and Nick answered, looking very very handsome and cute. “Hey.”

“Hi Jess. Come in. Dinner is ready.”

“Great. It smells good.” He held his arm out and he locked the door as she put her arm through his.

“This way my lady. You look fantastic.” He said. He pulled the chair out and she sat down, him pushing the chair back in. She looked at the table and there were candles lit and everything was set up.

“Thank you.” He kissed her cheek and went into the kitchen. He returned with two plates in his hand and placed one in front of her. “Oh, Nicky. It looks fantastic. How did you learn to cook like this?”

“Howie. He’s helpful with cooking.” She took a taste and was very surprised.

“Remind me to thank him when I see him.” She joked. “It’s very good.”

“Thank you.” He said and the two ate as a CD played. After dinner the two sat in the TV room, watching a movie. Nick couldn’t wait anymore and turned her face to him and kissed her. Soon, they were making out. Remembering why she had come over, he picked her up and carried her to his bedroom.

“Are you sure you wanna do this?” He asked between kisses as he kissed her neck. All she could do was nod because she was in heaven. He started to unbutton her shirt and he let it drop to the floor, soon letting his eyes roam his best friends’ body. He smiled at her and said, “You’re beautiful.” She blushed and kissed him. Soon her hands were tugging at the bottom of his shirt and she pulled it off of him with a little help from him. They continued to kiss and he took her jeans off and she took his off. He was kissing her neck as he tried to undo her bra. She giggled as he was fumbling around trying to unhook it. Without words she stopped him and did it, leaving the job of taking it off to him.

“You’ll learn.” She said. He kissed each shoulder, biting the bra strap and moving it down with his teeth. They let that drop to the floor and they both started to blush. She took his hands and placed them on her breasts. He moved his fingers around them in a circle, getting her aroused. He kissed each before moving back to her mouth. She put her finger on his chest, moving it down his body, putting a finger on each side and moving his boxers down. He stepped out of them and smiled at her. She was nervous but Nick held onto her hand as she touched him. He was already hard and he kissed her, moving her back toward his bed. He smiled as he gentle laid her on the bed. He slid down her body, kissing every inch of it and when he came to her panties, he slipped a finger on each side and slid them down. AJ had given him pointers on how to do the next thing he was about to do. Nick spread her legs open and looked at her. She was breathing very routinely and looked up at him.

            “May I?” He asked her.

“Of course.” Jess replied. He put his head between her legs and soon his tongue was inside of her. Jess began to breathe harder and she was in ecstasy as Nick searched inside of her with his tongue. Soon she came and his head appeared as he licked up her. “Oh, Nicky. How did you learn how to do it?”

“I got pointers but it all came naturally.” He said. He kissed her mouth and she felt him harden even more as he laid down on her, her breasts going into his chest. She tried to roll over so she was on the top but he refused. “Not today.” He kissed her again and moved her back so her head was resting on the pillow. His lips moved to her neck, chest and stomach. He left butterfly kisses as he calmed his nerves. Her hands were intertwined in his hair and she was still in a daze. “Don’t worry I have protection.” He said, taking it into his hands, fumbling to open it.

“How do you have it?” She asked.

He looked at her and turned red. “AJ.”

She giggled and sat up, kissing him on the lips. “Remind me to thank him, too.” She laid back down as he positioned himself above her.

“This is going to hurt for a minute.” He said as he entered her. Pain struck through her body and she gasped. “Shh. Jess, angel. It’s ok. I’m here.” He let himself adjust and kissed her lips to ease her pain. He began to move his hips and she moved with him. He was constantly kissing something; she was always kissing him back. Her hands found their way back to his hair and his back as they made sweet love. Soon, the two kids were exhausted and they snuggled up under the covers and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

            The next morning:

Nick woke up to the sun poking out of his shades. He felt someone stir next to him and he knew it was his best friend. He had made the best decision of his life and knew Jess would be the woman he married. He smiled and knew that it wasn’t sex they had had. They had made love that night and it was the best thing that ever happened. He lightly kissed her forehead and lifted her arms from his body, covering her back up with the sheets. She began to wake up but didn’t tell him. She saw his naked body move to his dresser and take out boxers. He threw them on and began to turn around, she shut her eyes and he stared at her. He sat on the bed and said, “Jess. I love you and we didn’t have sex last night, we made love. I just hope you feel that way, too.” He kissed her nose and got up from the bed, leaving the room to make breakfast.

Jess opened her eyes, grinning like a mad man. She had always loved him and would continue to. She knew they made love and didn’t just have sex. She sat in bed for a few more minutes, hearing him whistling as he made breakfast. She smelled his cologne and just his scent. She laid there, stroking the empty sheets beside her with her finger thinking about her best friend. She sat up and winced at the pain. She got up, ignoring the pain from the bottom half of her body and wrapped the sheet around her. She waddled to the window and opened the screen door. She stepped out into the balcony and sat down, still in pain. She stared into the blue sky, dreaming about how the last night had given her things in perspective.

He came upstairs, tray in hand. There was fresh orange juice and pancakes. He walked into the room and saw no one in the bed, the sheet gone and the balcony door open. He placed the tray on the bed and walked toward the door. He soon saw her, wrapped in the green sheet. Her hair was blowing in the wind and she was staring mindlessly into the morning sky. He walked up behind her and began to kiss her neck. Jess was at first startled but welcomed the kisses and she put her hand up to his face. “Nicky, please I don’t want a hicky.” She giggled.

“Jess, we need to talk and then I made breakfast for us.” Nick took her hand and pulled up a chair. He patted his lap and she began to get up, wincing at the pain. He began to laugh and said, “I guess I forgot to warn you, huh?”

“Uh, duhhhh.” She joked. She sat on his lap, his arm around her back and her legs up over the armrest. He kept her hand in his and opened his mouth.

“Jess, I don’t know what you thought of last night. But, to me it wasn’t just sex. I love you and last night we made love.”

“Oh, Nicky. I love you too. And you're right. We did make love.” She took her hand out of his and put her hand on his face, her eyes pierced through his blue ones and sparkled.

They kissed, first slowly but it grew passionate. “Jessica, be my girlfriend?” He asked as the broke away, he rested his forehead on hers.

                        “Of course Nicky.”

                        “Great, Angel.”

            :End Flashback:

“Awwwwww.” Jess gushed, remembering their first time.

“Oh, god.” Nick said. “Remember how our parents took it?”

She laughed and shook her head. “Unhuh. They were so happy. Our moms were like. ‘FINALLY! OUR BABIES ARE TOGETHER!’ God, it's like they knew our future.”

“Yeah, all they know is the sleepover helped bring out our feelings for each other. They don’t know that it took making love to bring the feelings out.”
