FOR SALE...SOLD...1972 Buick GS Convertible, Original Texas Car
I'm the 4th and proud owner of this TRUE CLASSIC! One of 645 produced for 1972 having the 350 4-bbl V8 195hp (GS). The 3 previous owners where from Texas. As for known history of the car, it isn't much. I do know that either the 2nd or the 3rd owner had the car painted, which was apparently a "Maaco" job, or they did it themselves. It does buff out nicely though (I have won a 1st place trophy..best in overall original condition). The original color is highly evident on the inside of the trunk lid, since that wasn't painted. I have had this car since Spring of 1998. Since then, much has been done mechanically. DRIVE ANYWHERE!
WHAT'S BEEN DONE/REPLACED
Starter
Alternator
Voltage regulator
Dist. Cap/points/condensor/rotor
Plugs/Plug wires
4bbl Rochester Carb (have original ...just needs rebuilt)
Complete OEM front-end kit w/poly graphite bushings from "PST"
OEM Choke thermostat (found new in box..Caribu Maine)
Approx. 3500mi on rebuilt (.060over/stock parts) motor
This GS has the original rallye steering wheel with tilt, automatic on the column, Power steering, power brakes (original drums..all 4), power top (lift cylinders in need of being rebuilt..I can help with that), factory A/C which worked when I purchased vehicle, just needs recharged, a wire reconnected that came undone, and possibly a new fuse. Since owning the car, I added a mechanical trio gauge (water temp/amps/oil pressure), since I don't trust the infamous "idiot" lights! This classic isn't perfect, yet it's in very good condition.
As is, it's easily a "20 footer" according to the "Nada Guide" with an average base value of $10,900 and the car having A/C, it's valued at $11,445. My asking of $9500 OBO is a very fair price. If you have any questions, comments, or ready to own this RARE classic feel free to email me!
