Corpus Christi

As soon as we arrived at Corpus Christi we drove to the closest beach just to find out what it feels like to have the salt water running through our toes again. We were surprised at how warm the water was in the Gulf of Mexico. Here is myself and Edward walking through the waves.
Vanessa on one of the jetty's stretching into the sea with the beach in the background. We didn't swim at this beach. Our plan was to drive to South Padre Island early the next morning and spend the day their at the beach.
As planned, we spent the next day at South Padre Island. This is a group photo of all of us that went on this weekend.
Picture of us taken on the beach.
As mentioned earlier, the water was very warm. One really didn't cool off in the water and outside the water it was very hot. So we spent most of our time halfway in and halfway outside the water. We felt like a couple of beached whales !
We spent the last day of our weekend exploring Corpus Christi. Here we are in front of the USS Lexington which is permanently docked and is open to the public to visit.
