Christmas morning, 1997. My
first time to scrape off the ice from the car's windows. Yes, the white stuff is not
just snow, it's hard as ice and very tough to get off. Off course, I was not
prepared and had to borrow an ice scraper from Gerrie. |
Here I am giving Gerrie a hand with the ski gear. Gerrie's
Jeep Wrangler was ideal for driving up the mountain to the Santa
Fe ski area. |

The two of us at the basin of the Santa Fe Ski Resort. This was on Christmas Day and since we
have never had a white Christmas, we sure weren't disappointed this time. It snowed
the whole day. This was our first ski trip and we we will definitely try it again
this season. |

That's me at the summit of the of the
mountain at the Santa Fe ski area. In order for us to take this picture, we had to
take our camera with us to this point (pretty obvious), but our next problem was getting
down to the basin without falling and risking to damage the camera. And since this
was only our second day of skiing, it was not an easy task. Luckily Gerrie was with
us at this point, and being the more experienced skier, he landed the job of safely
getting the camera down. |

Santa Fe has some really beautiful
buildings. This is a movie theater in downtown Santa Fe. Showing :
Amistad, directed
by Steven Spielberg. |
Me again standing at one of the street
corners in downtown Santa Fe. All the buildings are the some brown color and not
much higher than three levels. |

Here we are in a park in downtown Santa
Fe. |
The St. Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe.
Not only is this a beautiful building from the outside, but it's just as impressive
inside. |

The is nothing better than a hot tub and
a cold beer at the end of a long day on the mountain. Here are Chantelle, Gerrie and Karen
with myself and Vanessa in the hot tub at our hotel in Santa Fe. We had to switch the tub
off for this picture since were too much steam! |
