Thanks to my brother for introducing me to these guys - I first learned of them during the summer of 1995. As fate would have it the Ladies were making their 1st appearance in Indy a couple of months after I had discovered them. So I went to the show with Darla & a Nick (a co-worker) and we stood 5 feet in front of Steve (lead singer) at the Patio which holds maybe 500 people. These guys put on one amazing live show. This was just before Kevin became a full fledged member of the band and was in support of their second album (Maybe You Should Drive).
Since that 1st show I have managed to see the ladies several more times. Once at the Circle Center Mall in Indianapolis, then at the Murat Theater (again in Indy with good 'ole Nick). Both of those shows were in support of the ladies 3rd album Born on a Pirate Ship. My Brother later got them to sign a Promo Poster from this tour (Kevin wasn't in the picture so he drew himself).
Then I again enjoyed their antics during Horde tour during the summer of 1998 (with two friends I met on the internet). Once more at the Murat Theater in November of 1998 (again with Darla). Both of these shows were following the release of "Stunt."
My most recent shows were in October (Chicago with Darla) and December (Indy with Ryan - my 7 year old son), 2000. This tour follows the release of "Maroon." These shows were like old times since both allowed me to again see them up close. I had 3rd row seats in Chicago and FRONT ROW for the Indy show where Steve tossed me a guitar pic for Ryan and we were shown briefly on the big screens during a song (Nick apparently was at the show because I heard the next day her saw me).
So here is my little page for them & links to other pages of interest to BNL fans.
