In the last year I have grown to see the plight of Animal Rescues. These are selfless people that dedicate their time, energy, emotions, hearts, money and time towards saving Animals, which includes:

Saving an Animal from being put to death because a shelter is full

Taking in Animals that an owner no longer wants (this has got to be one of the worst)

Taking in abused Animals

Taking in Animals that people can no longer care for

Taking in Animals that are strays or have been abandoned

The list can probably go on & on as to how the Animals arrive at a Shelter or Rescue. These people can use all the Help they can get. Many ways you can help wouldn't cost you a dime. I have decided to help one organization. If each person who reads this decided to help only one organization, brick by brick... a Castle of Caring would be built.

If you love Animals:

Spay or Neuter your Pet (this can help curb the flow of unwanted Animals)

Please shop from sites that contribute portions of the sale to assist rescues

Donate your spare change to rescues & shelters (every penny adds up)

Attend outings & functions that Rescues & Shelters put together (Bonus: You will probably have a Good Time!)

Donate pet items that you are no longer using rather than tossing them in the trash

Donate items that can assist in pet care... Such as old blankets, towels, old items that a rescue can sell at a yard sale, if you call one I am sure that most will pick the items up for you!!!! If one won't, call another.

Offer to assist in the delivery of an Animal from one location to another

Open your heart & your home and consider Fostering an Animal

Volunteer your Time or a Skill for a Rescue fundraising event

Be creative & think of other ways that you can Help!!!
