Jordan was born at 8:o3 a.m. Monday morning, he weighed 7lb. 1.1oz. and was 20 1/4 inches long. He was a very alert baby and the most beautiful baby. He appeared to be completly normal at first. We all took turns holding him and loving him.
By midnight he began to be very fussy and would not eat, the nurses took him into the nursery. The doctors began to run tests on him to determine what was wrong. It was apparent that he was having a lot of problems.
By early morning he was put on life support and was taken to another hospital for further tests. Our lovely baby was so sick. It was soon determined that he had one of two very rare diseases which were neither curable.
It was apparent that he was not going to live. They did all they could to help him, but he was failing each hour. It saddened all of us. His parents were devistated as well as his grandparents.
He was kept in the intensive care unit for two days when we knew there was no help, it was decided he would be taken off life support. Our hearts were broken. Poor Jordan was so precious to us all. We felt he had suffered for long enough.
On Wednesday the family and friends were invited to see Jordan. We all spent as much time as we could with him and at the end of the day he was taken off life support. Jordan died at 11:05 p.m.
We took many pictures and a video of his last days with us. A remberance for us all to share in the days to come.
Jordan's Memorial service was that following Monday. We were all saddened by his passing, he was loved in those three days more than any child in a life time.
Here's A Poem Grandma Wrote For You Jordan
What A Precious Gift You Were
A Special Smile That Touched Our Hearts
Shiny Eyes Following Every Word
Tiny Hands Grasping Gentle Touches
Although Your Time Was So Short….
Your Star Will Forever Shine In Our Hearts
You Were Our Little Miracle
