WHAT IF IT'S YOU?

I've got something to tell you…
That I just can't say…
So I'm writing it down…
In case maybe someday…
Our lives take the turn down a road…
We can't see right now.

Because I believe…
There's one soul on this earth…
That was meant for mine.
I was sent here to find.

What if it's you?
What if our hearts were meant to be one?
What will I do?
Knowing that I will never love anyone…
As much as I do love you.

What if it's true?
What if it's you?
If destiny called….
And I missed my cue.

Do I get one more chance?
Oh, how I wish I knew!
I'll never again put my heart…
In the hands of fate…

If it's too late.
What if it's you?
What if our hearts were meant to be one?
And What will I do…
Knowing that I will never love anyone…
As Much as I do love you.

What if it's true?
What if it's you?
If I ever hold you…
I'll never let go!

But If I never do…
How will I know?
What if it's you?
What if our hearts were meant to be one?

Oh, what will I do….
Knowing that I'll never love anyone …
As much as I do love you?

And What if it's true?
And What if it's you?
What will I do?
What if it's true?
What if it's you?

NO ONE HERE BUT ME

I feel so all alone inside,
All I have is ME.
I wish I would have someone,
To see the way I see.

To see the worries, fears, and doubts,
That trouble me to tears.
And all the hopes and dreams I have,
To accomplish through the years.

I want someone that holds me dear,
To love and stand by my side.
To help me through my hard times,
And wipe away the tears I've cried.

I wish I had someone to share,
The loving and happy days.
To laugh and hug and play with,
In all those loving ways.

But in the end to my regret,
There is no one I see.
That will share these things I want,
No one here but ME.

A DISTANT MIRROR

I sense a distant mirror
That reflects your hidden fears.
Through your troubled eyes I see
That you've often trapped your tears.

There's a box within your soul
Full of faces that you wear
When you must look upon reflections
Of the burdens that you bear.

Why don't you open up your eyes
And pack your costumes deep inside:
When you've seen the surface silvered
You will never need to hide.

So if you let your feelings free
From beneath the masks you don,
You will break the darkened cover
And gain the strength to carry on.

YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND

In the times of loneliness,
When you're feeling low
And you feel that no one cares,
Just keep this in mind;
You've got a friend who deeply loves you.

In the times of depression,
When you're feeling rueful
And you feel that your life has shattered,
Don't you at any time forget;
You've got a friend who truly cares for you.

In the times of worries,
When you're feeling bewildered
And you feel that you've got none to turn to,
Ceaselessly recall one thing;
You've got a friend who'll always be there for you.

In the times of troubles,
When you're feeling vanquished
And you feel that you're on your own,
Just bear something in mind;
You've got a friend who'd lend you a helping hand.

In the times of happiness,
When you're feeling worthy
And you feel that you need to share it,
Please regularly remember me
For I'm that friend who'd be by your side.

GOODBYE

The great big smile that each of us share,
Is always remembered, as a present well treasured,
As our clasped hands are torn apart,
I hold myself back, knowing that we will someday meet again.

WONDERING

Last night I stood and looked at the stars
Feeling sad for the hand I'd been dealt
Then I wondered if someone else, somewhere
Was feeling the same way I felt.

Could there be someone out there made only for me
Who knew the same loneliness and pain
And wanted someone as badly as I did
To make them feel loved again.

Could someone out there truly love me
Heart, body, soul and mind
Who could stand by me no matter what happened
And always be tender and kind.

Was there someone else out there, at that very same moment
Wishing on the same star as mine
To find a love so strong and true
That would, no doubt, outlast time.

The questions continued to flood my soul
As I looked with longing to the sky
Hoping and dreaming that love would find me one day
And dare not pass me by.

SWEETNESS

Sweetness like a fragrance comes
It swells within the heart that is so broken
Sweetness it does bring…

Beautiful, lovely, fragrance
Pure, holy, divine, not sure….
It swells and drifts to and fro
Hanging in the air, not knowing where to go.

And blow did that wind one day,
And now the fragrance has come my way…
How long has it been? How long will it stay?
Perhaps today will be the last day?…

Oh beg I do of the wind at bay,
Please, oh please, don't take this sweetness away!
It is lovely all around, it is something to my heart,
Oh my dear sweet one, Please never depart.

NET KNOTTING

It seems a long forever now, that I have lived in here,
In this dark and mystic Net playground, of hope and love and fear.
Words I've typed to a thousand souls, and met but just a few,
And list of many faceless names hide in my ICQ.

My email fills with kind replies, from ever true Net friends,
And every time I run VP, my friendship chain extends.
The simple joy, to say Hello!!, to kind and cheerie hearts,
Puts a smile upon my face, as a new Net day does start.

But I have now been wondering, as I have been in here so long,
About the faceless back and forth, of emotions real and strong.
The tales of woe, and some of joy, and of lives that went astray,
I hear of joys and tragedies, in here most every day.

I have felt the raw emotions that this faceless text can bring,
And pondered on the real effect, of a text and faceless fling.
For me, I will hide no more, I will seek the person there,
For all I've met have become true friends, and for all of them I care.

But there have been some faceless names, who tried to run amok,
Playing dangerous games of love, and running on their luck.
Is cheating in the mind and hands, still cheating all the same?
I know of many sad, sad souls, who have played and lost this game.

I will seek and find new friends in here, and use this box for fun,
But I will leave the game of love and life to be played out in the sun.
In a stylish restaurant, park or garden, or at home with a red,
But never could I play the game of taking a computer off to bed.

So talk to me in lines of text, and tell me of your day,
And I will be your friend and chat, and always gladly say,
"I am real, and not to fear, and with pleasure I will meet,
You any day that you desire, if it's a friend you wish to greet".

SINCE YOU CAME INTO MY LIFE

They say that nobody is perfect
But God knows you are perfect for me
It's heaven on Earth
Being held in your arms
That's where I'll always want to be

Ever since you've been in my life
You have made me feel devine
You're heaven sent, and it is my intent
To be with you till the end of time

You're my guardian angel
You're the one for me it's true
I thank God above for your sweet love
Cause heaven's with me when I'm with you

They say love won't last forever
But I know in my heart that's not true
Call it destiny or fate, or whatever you wish
I was meant to spend a lifetime with you

FRIEND INDEED

The old man turned to me and asked
    "How many friends have you?"
    Why 10 or 20 friends have I,
And named off just a few ~

He rose quite slow with effort
    And sadly shook his head
  "A lucky child you are
To have so many friends," he said,
But think of what you're saying
There is so much you do not know
A friend is just not someone
    To whom you say "Hello"

        A friends a tender shoulder
    On which to softly cry
A well to pour your troubles down
    And raise your spirits high

A friend is a hand to pull you up
    From darkness and despair...
When all your other "so called" friends
Have helped to put you there

A true friend is an ally
Who can't be moved or bought
A voice to keep your name alive
              When others have forgot

But most of all a friend is a heart
    A strong and sturdy wall
For from the hearts of friends
There comes the greatest love of all!!!

So think of what I've spoken
    For every word is true
And answer once again my child
    How many friends have you??

And then he stood and faced me
    Awaiting my reply
    Softly I answered
    "If lucky......
    one have "I"
    "You!!!!"

A STOLEN NIGHT

The lake was ablaze with reflected light,
Shining and dancing an a moonless night.
Two lovers entwined and snuggled up tight,
Watched their dreams dance in the firelight.

Two victims of fate had this one precious night,
To sit with each other, and forget their life's plight.
Time and distance was to be always their fight,
But all this was forgotten an this cold stormy night.

The warmth of each other, it felt so right,
To just be with each other, not another soul in sight.
But their passion would have to wait to ignite,
Until they both could be free of reality's bite.

They had stolen this night from reality's sight,
The bands of their vows, still bound them so tight.
Two lives at a distance, far from each others sight,
But tonight they could love, and it just felt so right.

They enjoyed their first morning, and then took to their flight,
And headed straight back to reality's bite.
But their minds and their hearts would forever hold tight,
The warmth and the love of this one special night.
