there are no words to explain.

i remember waking up to seeing

i remember playing with your hair,
stroking your cheek
as you lay asleep next to me.
it was hard to get sleep
while you were here.
all i wanted to do was stay awake
and hold you in my arms forever.

so peacefully in my arms.
the only other time that will overcome
the happiness i felt those days
is when we will finally
get married and have children.
