Pictured below are the CD's and covers purchased at the above concert. Al Stewart and Dave Nachmanoff put on an awesome concert. Both were extremely personable and interacted in a relaxed, familiar manner with the audience, and captured our attention with their masterful performance. Al and Dave each have a great sense of humor. A great time was had by all in attendance.
As you can see, Al and Dave were gracious enough to autograph my CD covers, both allowing time for pleasantries and conversation with me and other fans after the show.
Both Al and Dave were also kind enough to pose with me for pictures. They also allowed pictures to be taken during their performance. I have received permission through Al Stewart's Official Website to post the pictures from this concert. You can see the pictures I took here:
As always, everyone present was thoroughly entertained by these two outstanding musicians/lyricists. Dave Nachmanoff, new to me, has gained a new fan.
Dave and I discussed his new project called the "Davis Elders Song Project". The Davis Elders Song Project began with a Davis Civic Arts Contract grant, which allowed Dave to work with elders at three facilities in Davis, CA. The Davis Civic Arts Commission has helped to sponsor the recording of a CD which resulted in "Holy Smokes! Ice Cream For Breakfast" released in February of 2002. 50% of the proceeds from this project are being donated to an Arts for Elders fund set up by Dr. Nachmanoff.
Dave explained to me that his ultimate goal is to start a corporation which will provide concerts for the elderly at institutions free of charge by monies gained through fundraising ventures such as his current CD "Holy Smokes! Ice Cream For Breakfast". Please support Dave in this noble cause!
