2nd Place Junior Allstars

This is the story of dedication, long hours and determination by 19 girls and 5 coaches. In November 2000, these girls, ages 6-11, started on the long road to form a team. Each stood in a gym in Oxford Ms. with their own expecations and desires. They were individuals about to take the first step to becoming a team member.

The reasons for being there were as varied as the girls themselves. It doesn't matter if they were there because they wanted to be a cheerleader, they thought it would be fun, their best friend was there or Mom made them come. In the end they all became one-a team.

Thanks to coaches and parents, these girls went from no idea of the work and skills involved to knowing what it takes to be champions. They worked through mishaps, injuries, a few tears and lots of giggles to reach their best.
