"This ones perfect!" Sarah said after looking at the seventh house that day. Jack just nodded and quietly smiled to himself while Sarah just kept going on about how perfect the house is. "Sarah's right," he thought, "This house is perfect." They were both right. The house was perfect. Or at least it seemed that way.

It all started a couple of months after they moved in. Sarah started hearing voices. They were telling her to kill Jack and then herself. "It's fun and the best part is you're a ghost afterwards and can live here with us forever. We will give you eternal bliss." they told her. "NO!" she yelled, "I love Jack and I would never hurt him." "We will get you to join us somehow. You will be one of us. We promise you that." the voices told her right before they disappeared. Sarah wanted to tell Jack about the voices but she was scared that he would think she was psycho.

The voices were quiet for a few days until Sarah and Jack were talking about redecorating the kitchen. "We should repaint the walls in here. What color do you think we should use?" Jack asked Sarah.

Sarah looked around at the kitchen and then said "Hmm. I'm not really sure."

Jack looked around too and said "How about a nice light blue?"

Sarah was about to answer him when the voice started talking to her again. "Sarah." they said, "Now is your chance, kill him! See that knife over there. You should go grab it and stab it right through his heart. It's so easy. He would never think his own wife would try to kill him"

"NO!" she screamed. The voices just kept chanting things like kill him, come join us. Sarah covered her ears still screaming no over and over.

Jack ran over to her as fast as he could and gently shook her. "Sarah what's wrong?" Jack asked her.

"Make them stop!" Sarah yelled.

"Make who stop? What is going on?" Jack asked.

"The Voices! Make them stop!" She yelled again.

Jack pulled her close to him and held her tightly. "Shhhh... It's okay. I will protect you." He said quietly to Sarah.

Sarah started crying as she leaned her head against Jack. "Make them stop." she said over and over.

It wasn't until about a week later that she finally her the voices again. Jack had left the day before for a business trip and he wasn't going to be back until the next day. Sarah was lying down on the couch reading when they said "Sarah when are you going to kill him? We want you to join us!"

"I will never join you! Just go away." Sarah said.

"We will never leave! Not until you join us!" they said angrily.

Sarah walked over to a cabinet where Jack was keeping his gun. "I would rather kill myself then hurt Jack." she said as she started loading the gun.

She was about to shoot herself when Jack walked in and said "I'm back. They decided to end everything a day early." Right after he said that he walked into the room and saw Sarah with his gun pointed at her head. "What are you doing?" he yelled as he ran over to her.

"It is the only way I can get rid of the voices." Sarah said sadly, "I love you Jack." Sarah pulled the trigger but when she did Jack grabbed her arm and the bullet hit his head instead. Sarah fell down to his side to see if he was alive. She hoped with all her heart that he was by he wasn't. Tears started streaming down her face as she yelled "Are you happy? You've made me kill him! Looks like your getting what you want. I can't live without Jack. She picked up the gun and quietly whispered "I love you Jack." right before she shot herself.

"We're so glad you've joined us Sarah," the voices said, "We knew you would." 1
