WATER TESTER'S PAGE
Chris' bit of cyber space.
G'day. This is me,Chris,I should have been a
pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors
of silent seas.T. S. Elliot.
enjoying a fish-eye view of the Great Barrier Reef,
Queensland, Australia.
Another passion of mine is bicycle riding, and I have my bicycling friends to 'thank' for first calling me 'Water Tester'. So, thanks to all those in the Sub Club, including (but not limited to) Big Nose, Soy Boy, Blondie, Nursie, Audax Man, Possum, Captain, Roy Boy, and Hormone. They are a wonderful group of people, and without them those 9 day bicycle rides would not have been so much fun.
I set up this page several years ago because friends told me how easy it was to create your own homepage. The following pages are proof of the ease of HTML, because it was simply by searching the internet that I taught myself how to write in HTML, though I have to admit that the drop down box below I stole from Janis' page! So, if anyone out there has the desire to create their own homepage, believe me it is easy....and even easier if you use those programs which mean you don't even have to learn HTML. If I can do it (a self confessed computer illiterate), anyone can!!
I'd like to acknowledge my friends who, without the internet, I wouldn't know. There is something to say for spending too much time chatting online, as every now and again you come across someone with whom you just click. Without the internet I wouldn't know Janis, Michael, Maria, Dave or Pheng who have become such an important part of my life. Although I have moved about 1000 km from my home in Melbourne, they are still there on the internet so in some ways they feel as close as always. I love you all and I hope that you will all eventually get to Sydney to visit me (this goes for all my friends, not just the ones listed above). And my new friends I have met since being in Sydney, Wayne and Kyla, who once again I wouldn't know if it weren't for the internet, and yet they are such wonderful friends.
Feel free to browse my site. You will find pages showing some of my life experiences, and I hope to include more in the near future. Don't miss out on my favourite holiday where I swam with the whalesharks.
