Happy Easter everyone. Another holiday arrives portraying yet another retail scam, the easter bunny. Easter is supposed to be one of the mose religous days of the year, and yet is mocked by a fairy tail, a fuzzy bunny's tail to be exact.
The candy companies were upset because of the lag between halloweens. So, they devised a plan to have another candy rush. These marketing brains sat around a table until they came up with the perfect gimmick, bunnies. Bunnies are cute, everyone likes them, and everyone knows what they are. So now, they had to decide what to do with them. They ripped off the idea of santa, and decided to make the bunny come to the house, and deliver the candy while the kids were sleeping.
So easter went on like that for a few years. Then some another marketing brains decided to get in on the act. The farmers wanted to promote egg sales, so they decided to have the kids color and decorate eggs. Other companies got involved, making the dyes, egg wraps, glitters, and anything else to make the eggs beautiful.
That brings us to modern times. As the years go by, easter gets more like christmas. Some kids get as many gifts for easter as they do for christmas. Again, the joke is on you. People make so much out of the artifical fun things on the holidays, rather than the actual meaning for it. As long as you're going to keep buying the stuff, it's only going to make it bigger and bigger. Soon enough, the kids are going to expect to be showered with gifts and candies and everything, and some day you're going to disappoint them.
