Welcome to Chachi's Corner! Chachi's corner is here to provide you with information about me, as well as information about local events in the St. Louis, MO, and Carbondale, IL areas. I know what you are thinking, how are those two places even remotely related? Well, a quick answer is that I live in St. Louis, but Carbondale is home to my Alma Mater, Southern Illinois University, and I often travel down there for the excellent nightlife. Update 6/05/03: The Events page has been updated for the first time in a month. Sorry about for anyone that regularly checks it, but I have been out of town for a while. If you are interested in what I was doing check out this weeks pics from Cancun . Update 5/07/03: It's been a year since I updated the homepage, so I thought it deserved a bit of an update. I refreshed the newsletter sample as well as updated some other small items. Check out this weeks pics from the Kentucky Derby Here and Here. Update 5/15/02: I haven't updated this page in a while, so I thought I would. As always the events are updated this week, there are also new pics from Josh's wedding, and some other's that have not mentioned on this page before, so you may want to check them out. Update 3/27/02: Not much here to update this week. New Events are listed for this weekend. I have been busy with school work lately to make any decent updates. And no new pictures in a while. Update 3/13/02: Back after a little hiatus, due not exaclty to the trip to the west case last week, but to the fact that I found a flat tire when I returned, which resulted in me having to replace both rear tires which was no small amount of time or cash. Anyway, there are new picks and events updated this week. Check out the video I made:Boeing Commercial Update 2/27/02: Event are updated but that is about it right now, some big changes are hopefully on the way though. Update 2/20/02: Wow, not much to update this week. Haven't gotten any pictures from Mardi Gras yet, so hopefully someone will have some for me this weekend. Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you. Update 2/13/02: As much as it was supposed to be such an exciting weekend, it just seemed to disappear. Friday night was taken somewhat lightly preparing for Saturday's festivities. Hopefully some people got some good pictures for me to post, I wasn't quite quick enough on the draw to get any. Luckily the weather was just about perfect, no rain, and only a slightly cool breeze. Update 2/05/02: Finally, tons of new pics. Make sure to follow all of the links, there are three pages of pics up this week. That's all I am going to say this week, because it took me forever to get those posted, so that should be enough. Sorry for the lack of events, but no one updated their websites this week. Update 1/30/02: Guess what, there are some new pictures up. I don't know how many yet, because I am not going to scan them in until today morning, but there will be at least one new one up. I have some new one that should have been up there, but I couldn't get my crappy old scanner to work, so I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens. Update 1/23/02: Guess what, no new pictures yet. Not my fault that no one knows how to scane in a picture and send it to me to put up, or at least let me scan it in. Maybe someday it will get updated. Until then I will keep updating the local bar scene. Update 1/16/02: Still no new pictures, but I will be sure and get some soon, no matter what it takes. I have a new website up, that is really cheesy right now, but it is a homework assignment for a class I am taking. There will be some cool stuff that is but on there from week to week, so I will keep you updated. Here is the link:My USC Website Update 1/9/02: Welcome to the first update of the new year. It has been a while since the last update, but I don't think there was really anthing important to post. Everyone was busy with the holiday's to notice. Still no new pics to post yet, but I promise many are coming. I hope I will continue to keep the updates as steady as before, but I am starting class today, and I don't know how taxing that is going to be on my schedule. Check out the NEW EVENTS Listings. Update 12/12/01: Just added one new joke picture to the Photos page. I need to get some more pics to put up there, i.e. SEND IN YOUR PICS. I don't care what they are just send stuff in. The club scene has of course been updated, not that I been able to make it anywhere in the past couple of weeks, but I will keep it up. Also, added a couple of links to my Favorties page, good if you need to do a little X-mas shopping. Update 12/5/01: Pictures from SIU's awesome defeat of Indiana, courtesy of the Daily Egyptian. Wish I had some of my own, but what ya gonna do. Hope everyone is enjoying this 70 degree weather in December, because I am sure that it won't last for long. The events are correct this week, they were last week too, I just kind of forgot to change the dates, no biggy right. I am still tyring to get some pictures from the U2 concert, but my sources haven't come through yet. Update 11/28/01: Added new pics from the weekend before Thanksgiving, partying with some friends at the Funny Bone and Dave and Buster's. Noting new from this past weekend. All the events for the coming weekend have of course been updated. The main attraction this weekend will be the SIU/UI basketball game this Saturday, after a heartbreaking loss to Illinois last Saturday. Update 11/14/01: Spent the weekend in Carbondale, and I have the pics to prove it, check out the new pics in the photo album. All the events for this upcoming weekend have been updated, so be sure to check them out to get the bars lined up. Update 11/06/01: Another good time at Have a Nice Day Cafe on Friday, can't beat the free brew and appetizers. New pics from Saturday night at the Pageant, from the Paint the Earth CD release party, that included Fly From August and Shrinking Violets. Update 10/26/01: If you weren't at the Brewhouse last night, then you missed out on a good time. Tumbleweed played some great acoustic background music while the Boeing crew indulged in Bottles, Drafts, and 18 holes of Golden Tee. Check out the new Photo Album as well. Update 10/21/01: Events page updated for the coming weekend. The winning event for this weekend was Have Nice Day Cafe, which served up free appetizers and drafts!
