Man...
Well, here is the story!
When I arrived in Minneapolis, I was not really a fan. I had dug up His tapes that I used to listen to when I was a teenager (Parade, Diamonds & Pearls, the Batman soundtrack...), because I knew that I was going to go to Minneapolis. In the process, I realized I really loved what He had been doing.
Lightning really struck me on the day that I went to Paris's "Hot Brass" and saw a show by Morris Day & The Time, who had just reunited. The sound, the style, were like someone had hammered my skull with a skyscraper. And then I realized that most of what I liked in their music came from The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, as everyone was calling Him at the time.
But as I wrote, I did not come to Minneapolis with seeing Him as a priority.
When I arrived, I had to move into my student room, adjust to a totally new
life, and work my courses at the U
of M. But soon I became friend of all the wonderful and crazy people whom
you already met in my Friends page. One day,
