CURSING

If you read all of these verses, and still think that cursing isn't bad then you never really read them! These verses from the Bible will make you think twice about cursing again.

Matthew 15:11

"The food that you put into your mouth doesn't make you unclean and unfit to worship God. The bad words that come out of your mouth are what make you unclean."

Ephesians 4:29

Stop all your dirty talk. Say the right thing at the right time and help others by what you say.

Ephesians 4:31

Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don't yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude.

James 1:26

If you think you are being religious, but can't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and everything you do is useless.

James 3:6

The tongue is like a spark. It is an evil power that dirties the rest of the body and sets a person's entire life on fire with flames that come from hell itself.

James 3:9-10

My dear friends, with our tongues we speak both praises and curses. We praise our Lord and Father, and we curse people who were created to be like God, and this isn't right.

Colossians 3:8

But now you must stop doing such things. You must quit being angry, hateful, and evil. You must no longer say insulting or cruel things about others.

Matthew 12:36-37

36 I promise you that on the day of judgement, everyone will have to account for every careless word they have spoken. 37 On that day they will be told that they are either innocent or guilty because of the things they have said.

My question to you is. Do you curse? Christians must rid themselves of cursing! So if you are a Christian, and you curse make it a commitment to the Lord right now that you will try your best to stop cursing. My friend, it usually takes time, but if you truly want to stop, then the desire to curse will eventually not show up.
