winter break! woo hoo!

so unfortunately i couldn't make it to Virginia for my winter break. i wanted to see you all and everything, but it just couldn't work out. but don't worry, maybe ill visit spring break or summer or something.

even though i know i would hava had the best time ever had i seen you guys, i still managed to get out and do some mad fun things here in toronto. so heres what i did:

ziyan and i went to go see Paul Oakenfold at a club here. for those who dont know him, oakenfold is a huge DJ. the concert was HUGE, PACKED and AWESOME. it ended up being like a huge rave. suffice it to say it was fun. ill have to get some pictures from inside the place to show yall.
before i knew it, it was snowing! yep, mid november, and we were getting heavy snowfall. this was the first major snow, so it was all still white and pretty and stuff. that didn't last too long.

this is me in the Much Music [canadian wannabe of MTV] studio. thats right! i was on TV! next thing you know, ima gonna be a famous movie star.]

this guy "k-os" was giving a concert. hes pretty big up here. im not too sure if youve heard any of his music though. but when i show the picture around up here, i get mad respect, so that should be good enough for you!

this is shaquille o'neals shoe! holy crap! its gigantor. [in case you were wondering, this wonderful picture comes courtesy of a visit to the SHOE museum right across from where i live]

tina and i went to a raptors game! it was really fun. we won against the grizzlies, so we got free pizza. the beer, however, was not free. [also, take a look at the stands. see how much home support our team gets? haha, just kidding, we took this pic after the game was over.]

this is the orchestra building where the Toronto Symphony Orchestra plays. its supposed to be a really good orchestra, so i decided to go...

... we watched Handel's Messiah. which was, in my opinion, really really good. except for some slow parts. i felt sophisticated though because during the intermission i was sipping on wine in my tux. laiiiid back.

my fridge. i thought this was a funny picture. little did you know, a college student can subside off milk, margarine, and beer. lots of beer.

a mad snow storm came right before christmas. see this 6 inches on my car?! yeah by the next day there was like a foot on my car. i tried to drive anyway, but it didn't work out too well. i hit 3 trees, 2 pedestrians, and a garbage can. and that was before i even made it out of the driveway.

andrew and i went to go see ice sculptures. however, since andrew is a dude and hence ugly, i put the picture up of an ice sculpture instead of him.

my little sis alina came to party with me new years! wooo hooo we had a great fun time. i think im already smashed by the time we took this picture. [10pm??] Andrew managed to sneak into this picture.

we did the whole live countdown thing downtown, which was packed and a lot of fun. we were drinking at an alcohol-free event because there were too many people for the cops to notice us. notice all the people in the picture. also, notice city hall in the background. that building was used in the movie Apocalypse: Resident Evil. i highly suggest you watch that movie. its not good, but at least you can see that toronto is used in classy movies! boy, this is a long picture description.

this is me. this is what i look like at 8am on new years day. in a word; wrecked. but, even though i wasnt in virginia, i still wore my new years party outfit all night long! represent!

the view from my new room on the 12th floor. breathtaking, isnt it? also nice is the fact the new apartment is clean! hooray!
