The American Years...

We moved to San Francisco, California on June 13, 1987. After living there for a month, we moved to San Jose since there were more opportunities for my parents. My parents were working very hard to keep things stable for us. We were fortunate to have support from our relatives.

School
The American school system is very different from Hong Kong's. I was shocked that kids don't have to wear uniforms! I am thankful everyday that I have the opportunity to go to college, learn how to drive, and open my mind to the world.

Favorite things to do
When I was in high school, I enjoyed dancing. I took a few years of ballet and jazz dance classes. Now, since I work full time and going to school at night, my extra time devotes to SHOPPING, SHOPPING and SHOPPING! I have learned to be very frugal growing up. My strategy is the following: Start from the back of the store and work towards the front. Trust me, this works.
