No.2 Section is the name of the oldest age group in Boys Brigade. No.2 Section is for boys and young men aged 12 to 18.

In No.2 Section there is something for everyone. You will even have the oppurtunity to attend camps where you will have the oppurtunity to meet other boys and young men your own age. You can also earn your Duke of Edinburghs Award. As a part of No.2 Section you will be able to learn new skills and develop new interests such as :

Bushwalking Camping Sports First-Aid
Computing Swimming Service to the Community Arts and Crafts



When you reach the age of 15 you atain the status of 'Senior'. This means that you can take advantage of even greater oppurtunities for Adventure, Challenge and Achievement. As a senior you'll get to participate in specialised recreational pursuits which could include :

Abseiling Snorkelling Caving Snow Skiing
Rock Climbing Cycling Expeditions Motorbikes Surfing

You could find yourself attending leadership courses and even organising special activities, outings and events for the rest of your company. You will also have the chance to qualify for your Queens Badge which is the highest award the Brigade offers.

Seniors who display leadership potential and initiative may be selected for promotion to the rank of Non-Commissioned Officer(NCO). NCO's have different ranks and assist with the running of the company.

When you turn 18 you might decide to attend further leadership training courses and continue the challenge as a BB Officer.

During your membership of the Boys Brigade you will make many new friends, be taught self-respect and Christian values, and develop a strength of character which will remain with you for the rest of your life.
