May 11, 2007 Pierre left Quebec City to go pick her up. Me, I stayed here and went to work everyday, yes I was jealous. After many days of preparations, purchases and just plain bad weather, Pierre leaves Wilmington on May 19 and heads towards Sneads Ferry To have Odyssey hauled out to change the cutlass bearing. Finally on May 24, a date to remember, he is finally on his way back home. So we think!
A "big" problem holds Pierre in Oriental, NC, he has a hole and is losing oil, won't say anymore about the matter :-) Four days later, he is on his way once again! Anchors off Alligator River, next night near Buck Island. Finally reaches Great Bridge, VA to meet up with Michel, our "brother in-law".
What should of happened didn't "of course". Michel was to spend the week with Pierre sailing to their hearts content! After 3 days, Michel came back to Quebec, Pierre stayed to make arrangements to have the V-drive fixed. Also to get Odyssey ready to be shipped via the road to Longueil, Quebec. After all sorts of to do's done, Pierre returns home mid June.
