Hmmm… Today is kind of a lazy day. I woke at Pam's place where I spent the night. I didn't really know what time it was. I wasn't particularly concerned either, though it must've been morning or early afternoon. I'd be going back to my place tonight. We had talked about it earlier during the week; she seemed okay with it. I had a number of things to do.

I had to feed Magic, who seems particularly surly lately, or more accurately more surly. Now, I don't want you to get the idea that Magic is a bit of temperamental cat, though that is pretty accurate. However, I would really like to point out that there's certainly a charm to the psychosis.

I also have a friend, Jenna, who is coming into town in a few weeks. I had to clean up my place. If you have ever seen my place, you'll understand that it is quite the task. I'm not taking standard mess here, I'm talking like paper graveyard. I have also been meaning to rearrange some furniture and this is the perfect time, unfortunately this involved actually buying a new futon.

Anyway, back to my day with Pam, it was sometime in the morning or afternoon. We were still in bed. We were wide awake, of course. We spent much of the afternoon in bed… not sleeping. We did eventually get out of bed at about 4pm.

I took a quick shower, more to make sure that my new nipple piercing was clean than anything else. The instructions dictate that it be cleaned twice a day with anti-bacterial soap. So off I went to do my duty and Pam was kind enough to make me a peanut butter bagel (and one for herself) and some coffee for herself. We sat in the living room chatting for some time, while it slowly creeped towards 5pm. I finally ended up leaving closer to 6pm.

I went straight to the futon store and got there close to 6:30pm. I walked in while there were a couple of women, presumably a mother and daughter, who were on the market for a futon as well. They didn't really seem to know what they wanted and were tying up a lot of the salesperson's time. They finally ended up leaving without buying anything; it was "out of their price range". The salesperson was a young man who might've been in his late teens or early twenties. He had this detestable habit of calling me sir. I did end up buying a new futon and a new cover for my old futon. I wasn't able to carry it home, since I was driving my car, but Pam drives an SUV and should be able to help me pick it up.

Once home, I went for a run. It really sucked. Running when you're dehydrated and lack nourishment is not a good thing, today was no exception. Thank goodness that today I wasn't doing weights as well. I went to get dinner shortly after. No biggie, just teriyaki chicken.

I rested some before undertaking a number of things at home. First I had to make room for my current futon in my computer room, which also doubles as a guestroom. Did I mention that my place was a mess? Also ended up taking apart that futon, since it doesn't fit through the doorway. I found that out years ago when I first moved in. We ended up bringing it in through the patio door, on the fourth floor. Okay, I lied, it was the first floor, and there were many of us.

I ended up wiping off all the pieces and making sure that I knew what parts I had to fix or rather reinforce. Not that big a deal since I'm fairly good with tools. I'm no Tim Allen, who grunts in the presence of tools. I grunt in the presence of… okay, I have to keep some secrets.

I'm not going to say that I'm not a complete slob or anything, because I am. However, I do have a fairly strong allergy towards dust, and that really makes things messy… toward the end of the night I'm in sneezing fits. My eyes water and puff up, and it's really not a pretty sight. There you go… cleaning is not good for me.
