Yes, you might say that I'm a baseball enthusiast. I normally
track the games everyday. I listen to Braves' games at work on my
computer. I'll even wake up in the morning and turn on my television so
that I could listen to the Braves' games on weekend mornings. I tracked
the Braves' Magic number last year
from the beginning of the season at
163. Yep, you might say that I like baseball.
But being a Braves' fan, why would I be interested in the Boston at Minnesota series? Len is a baseball fan too, though not to the same degree as I am. He is a Red Sox fan. He left last week for an extended road trip. The first thing in his agenda, was to meet up with some friends in Minnesota to watch the Red Sox duel the Twins. They were supposed to get to see Pedro Martínez pitch on Tuesday, but he landed on the disabled list. Still I tracked the games each day and watched the scores.
I was rooting too. The days seem to run together these days. I feel like I'm neglecting many things, this journal included. Maybe is because I don't have that clincher for each week with Len our not-so-famous Sunday Dinner with Len™. You know, we never really did anything. We just got together for dinner and talked, or maybe we would watch each other waste money foolishly on computer games or electronic gadgets. Still, I miss him. July 6, 2000 |
