Face to Face

Building Relationships

The crux of YoungLife's ministry is the building of relationships between adult Christians and high school students. We go where kids are and meet them on their own turf. We demonstrate an interest in their lives and experience things together with them. These "bridges of friendship" pave the way for us to share the good news of Jesus Christ in our actions and relationships as well as our worlds. By "earning the right to be heard" with kids, our leaders are able to reach kids who have no relationship with Christ or within the established church.

Club Meetings

The format involving kids in YoungLife's outreach is often called the "club meeting." Characterized by lively singing, crazy games and humorous skits, the club meeting is a weekly event providing a comfortable, fun setting which helps create a willingness to listen. The club meeting closes with an informal presentation of the Gospel message by one of our adult leaders.

Camping

Camps are a strategic part of YoungLife's efforts to touch the lives of teens. Camp experiences combine action, heart-pounding adventure, and a caring community. YoungLife of Savannah provides several major camping opportunities at YoungLife properties, including trips to Windy Gap in North Carolina and Sharp Top Cove in North Georgia.

Small Groups

(Campaigners Bible Studies)

As kids seek to explore a deeper relationship with Christ, we want to see them grow in their faith and become involved in a local church body. To help facilitate this, our Campaigners Bible studies focus on what it means to live out one's faith daily. Our goal is to start young people on the road to Christian maturity and to bridge the gap to their involvement in local churches.
