Long Time No See Good to see you again. As you can see, we finally have pictures of Jeff and Hank on the sight. They would only agree to have their pictures taken if we wore the suits. So there it is. (Just like to say thanks to our good friend, Dave Avery, who did this picture as well as the cherub picture from the previous What's New page) It's finally done!!! Our new CD, "File Under Mutt," has just been released. We just got it back from Discmakers (our manufacturer) and had it for sale at the Sertoma Chicken Barbecue in Lancaster on May 15. If you weren't there, you should be able to find it at Provident Bookstore soon. And if that doesn't work, you'll be able to buy it online before too long. Just keep checking. The first single off the album is I'm Only Human. If you'd like a preview, you can go the The Album page and listen to it in Real Audio. If you don't already have Real Player, you can download it for free from their website, www.real.com. In addition to the single, concert favorites Bookstore Man, Can You Imagine It? and World Keeps Turning, as well as other great songs are on the new record (actually a CD, but I still call them records). Some of the new titles are Used to Love This World, 'Round Every Corner and We Will Meet Again. As usual, all songs are performed in the pioneering style of "Mutt Music" all our fans have come to know and love. Also, we are in the midst of planning a tour of the central PA region. As soon as the dates are nailed down we'll be letting everyone on the mailing list know. Actually, we probably could have had the record out sooner, but Steven Courtney and myself (Steve Bennett) have been producing a couple of other records on the side. One by Beth Herr from near Mt. Gretna, PA. Her record is called "Stand." We are also finishing up an album by Lancaster County band, The Mystery. We were happy to have the opportunity to be a part of the ministry of these artists. If you get the chance to see them . . . do so. By the way, those guys in the picture with us are our good friends and current Steves, Hank Rogers and Jeff Stadden. Their bios are already on the site, but we finally got them to sit still long enough to get a picture of them. There are a couple more photos of them on The Guys page. Take a look! On The Pics page, we have some pictures of us playing as part of the CD Release Party to celebrate the release of The Beginners new record on RadioVibe. That's about it for now. If you want to drop us a line or sign up for our e-mail list, you can reach us at thesteves@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you. Don't be a stranger! |
