Why, Mom?

POEM: A song by Blind Melon, on their album "Soup."
HOW I FOUND IT: One of my friends painted a picture to this poem...this poem can also be found in the Blind Melon song "God's Presents/Carseat on their album "Soup."
DESIGN: The original was drawn and colored by hand, then scanned in to Paintshop Pro and modified for my BCC Computer Graphics Class.

CAR SEAT

Tounges tied, nerves as big as boulders
Why Mom, I thought I was your soldier?
My brother sits by me
Buckled into the car seat
Feel the thirst, it's time for pulling over
Into the truckstop on my daddy's shoulder
Out back where they plant all the trees
Ten feet away my daddy buries me
