Born in Trivero
(Vercelli, Italy) on the 10th April 1955,
at the beginning of his career Mino played
with two bands: Nel segno dello Zodiaco and
Bora Bora. Reached some popularity with the
single Parigi
addio, in 1979 he won the Sanremo
Festival with the lovely ballad Amare
produced by Piero Soffici, one of the most
important Italian producer and author of the
70s.

After a couple
of other singles and one album, Mino moved
to England where he lived for several years.
Zucchero met him in London asking him to sing
in the album Miserere; also
he took part on stage during the Miserere
and Spirito DiVino tours. Since then
Vergnaghi has been collaborating with Zucchero.
Mino has a great black voice and wrote with
Zucchero the song Di
sole e d'azzurro performed
by Giorgia at the Sanremo Festival in 2001.
Also, he wrote the English lyrics to Va
Pensiero and the Mina's single
Succhiando l'uva
with Zucchero and Matteo Saggese.
