Crash-site are playing at (former Eigen's Ballroom) Sputnik together with a band called Shiner on friday the 16th. of august - be there!
Crash Site gave an interview in Kurt's garage - sorry things went so fast that I didn't get to announce the interview here properly, but I hope you heard it anyway :-)
Crash-site plays emotional indiepopnoise, where musical fantasy and evocative quibbles lies the foundation for the proportionally simple songs..
The band's current constallation and ideabasis was founded in the spring '94, (all though, the boys of Crash-site. have played together earlier in another constallation), since then Crash-site have been playing at different University cafes and at "PRODENOPPOPKLOP", a concert which P3's Anders Reuss, in his indie-Go! program described as a "positive surprise..".
Crash-site guested Demodoktoren in October, so 3 songs was played from the 2nd. demotape, together with an very nice interview, it gave a nice profile of the band..
Crash-site shares universe with bands like Galaxy 500, Mercury Rev and Sonic Youth, but furthermost with weight on the quiet harmony, together with the risk of a sudden energyburst or a longer floating passage, often supported by Hanne's from within fetched voice or.. or..
The lyrics are about the usual subjects, like autumnthoughts, motorcyclejourneys, wake up calls, red rain coats, candy as torture instruments and other everyday trivialities..

When Crash-site first started out the where called Crash-site Carnival, but sometime after a band from Australia got very popular all over the world, and they where called Crash Test Dummies, Crash-site Carnival changed their name to Crash-site instead. And to remembrance of the old name (and to preserve the beautiful covers) the 2nd. demotape got the name CARNIVAL.
On October the 18th. Crash-site moved from their old and small practice room, in Sturlasgade on Islandsbrygge, crashed a new site in the inner city, the so called Sortedam Dossering. The new place has already shown to be very stimulating (and bigger), so Crash-site hopes to improve their music even more, and make more new and beautiful songs..
