Birthplace: A very complicated issue...he spent sixteen of his childhood years living in Ningenkai, went to Makai later on as a lord, then returned to the Ningenkai in the end, as he chose to stay with his friends.

Family: In Ningenkai, he has a step-mother named Atsuko. In Makai, he is pretty much related to Raizen, lord to two-thirds of the Makai lands.

Powers: Rei-gan and "shot gan"

Role in the Series: The main character of the show. The story begins when he loses his life saving a little kid's life. Koenma, the Prince of the Spirit World decides to give him another chance and from there on his adventures as the head of the Reikai Tantei begin, up till the time he realizes his real heritage as a Makai lord.
