These three guys, Chris Ballwe(vocals/guitar), Dave Dederer(bass/vocals)
and Jason Finn(drums/vocals) have been steadily rising up the alternative
pop charts for the past two years. Their self- titled debut album was
released on Columbia/PopLlama records in July of 1995, and by February
1997, it bacame one of the top ten albums in the United States. Producing
three Top 40 singles, "Lump," "Kitty," and "Peaches," the album set a
record on the CMJ chart as the longest charting debut album released in
1995. Due to the large number of live reviews(all good) this band has
recieved, tonight's KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas presentation should
be all that and a box of chocolates. Thier newest CD titled, II
was released on November 5, 1996(Election Day), and was recorded at Bad
Animals and Studio Litho in Seattle. The album's first single, "Mach 5,"
has already recieved mad airplay on both KROQ and MTV.
