My London "Daze"
London Part I
After a 10 hour plane flight from San Franciscon to London-Heathrow, I was a bit tired. However, the adrenaline and excitment of being in London kept me and the other 35 or so UC students going for the time we were there. The flight was quite long, but all of Virgin's planes have personal TV's on every seat with free movies, video games, and other fun stuff.
Because the University of Leeds' International students orientation started on Monday, we had to leave London early. But it was a fun trip, and I managed to see all of the major sites. I didn't get too many good pictures. Mostly because I'm still a rookie vacation picture taker, since I'm usually the one in the picture rather than taking the picture (grandma). Also, because the two days in London were spent in a jet-lag ridden daze. At any rate... here they are.
Starting off with an alright picture... this is of the lower part of the Parliament at night. I thought it looked cool which I think has something to do with the jet lag!
This is me and two other UC students who didn't go to Leeds, so I've forgotten their names. This, of course, is NOT London Bridge... it's Tower Bridge. It is what WE call London Bridge, but it's real name is Tower Bridge.
The Queen invited me in for tea, but I had to refuse because we had some sightseeing to do. I decided to just stand outside the gate of Buckingham Palace instead. It wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but was quite impressive
No, I didn't find the London Flower Dump, and no that's not trash I took a piture in front of. That, as we all know, is me in fronto of the massive pile of flowers for Princess Di in front of Buckingham Palace. My historic pose.
