Dweezil Zappa

In an age where most guitar players are more concerned with what hair style they have, and how low they can tune their guitar, it is refreshing when you hear someone playing their instrument to the best of their ability and pushing the limits. Dweezil Zappa is one of the few players today that is doing it, and this CD is definitely a fine example of playing! Not only does it feature Dweezil playing some awesome stuff, it also has some great players lending their talents. Some of the players include Terry Bozzio (drums), Scott Thunes (bass), Mike Keneally (guitar), and Blues Saraceno (guitar).

The thing that impressed me the most was that there are no keyboards or samples used on this CD. All the horn parts on "Hawaii Five-O" are all guitars and this is absolutely brilliant. Other songs that have the same kind of thing going on are "You're A Mean One Mister Grinch", and "Hanabero And Les Toreadores". This is an awesome CD filled with some great playing. Dweezil's father, the legendary Frank Zappa, would be damn proud of his son.
