Eric Johnson

Alien Love Child

Favored Nations

Fans of Eric Johnson will be happy with this new album. This is the first album of new material since Venus Isle and it is also live. Johnson is joined on the album by Bill Maddox on drums and percussion, and Chris Maresh on bass. Both give stellar performances. There are also special guest vocals by Malford Milligan on the cuts, "Once A Part Of Me" and "Don't Cha Know".

The playing on this album is just plain awesome especially on cuts such as "Zenland", "Last House On The Block" and "Enzo Shuffle". The band is tight and Eric's playing is as good if not better than it has ever been. He seems to shift between sounds and styles effortlessly. One listen to this album and you will know why they call Eric Johnson the "King of Tone".
