This album is a departure for Joe Satriani. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of fret board
gymnastics on this album, it just has a techno feel to it. It has plenty of loops, drum machines, and
keys. There also are plenty of textures and colors to keep you coming back and listening. It
should also be noted that Joe gets some pretty amazing sounds and textures out of his guitar on
this record.
What will this guy think of next! Favorites include "Flavor Crystal 7", "Borg Sex", "Until
We Meet Again", and "Clouds Race Across The Sky". You will also find the slide guitar work
on "coming?" to be delicious.
This album should keep you coming back for more. It is sonic bombardment at it's best.
