Fans of Steve Vai may be disappointed with this album mainly because of the lack of new
material. There are only three new cuts. They are "Mellisa's Garden", "The Wall Of
Light", and "Boston Rain Melody". All three songs are definitely what you would expect from
Vai: Excellent arrangement, great melodies, and of course exceptional playing. It should also be
noted that the rest of the songs are a collection of ballads from his previous albums.
If you
are a new Vai fan, you will want this album. And if you have been a fan, you may want this one to
add to your collection.
