The Interpreters

In Rememberance Of That Fine Evening...

Volcano Entertainment

Having burst on the scene, The Interpreters played their first gig at a downtown New York loft party hosted by Herchel Gaer (lead vocal and bass). They met Eric Erlandson of Hole who, after hearing their demo, offered to produce a track with them at his LA studio, The Monastery.

After the Philadelphia based group signed to Volcano recordings, they flew to LA and recorded with Erlandson and producer Shel Talmy (The Who and The Kinks). What ensued was this 4 song CD single, In Rememberance Of That Fine Evening, that also contains a track by Philadelphia soul producer, Ron A. Shaffer.

The first time I heard this 4 song compilation, I was reminded of The Romantics (“What I Like About You”) and The Ramones back in the 80's, with their hard driving, infectious style. The 4 song CD will have any avid slam dancer diving in head first.

The band has just released their debut album at Mayfair Studios in London. In Rememberance Of That Fine Evening... will be available for purchase in North America only through the internet. For more info, check out their official website.
