My name is Evan Markfield, and I am a senior at the <A HREF="http://www.unc.edu/">University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill</A>. I am a student in the <A HREF="http://metalab.unc.edu/jomc">School of Journalism and Mass Communication</A>. I am also an assistant sports editor at <A HREF="http://www.unc.edu/dth">The Daily Tar Heel</A>, the award-winning newspaper at UNC-CH. There, I cover a variety of sports and other aspects of the <A HREF="http://www.tarheelblue.com/">UNC athletics</A>. When I graduate, I hope to get a job in sports writing.
<p> Outside of school, I enjoy spending my free time engaged in <A HREF="http://geocities.datacellar.net/emarkfield">making music</A>. I play guitar (along with several other instruments), write songs, and I also sing. I've recorded one compact disc, and another is on the way. </P>
