Diary for Fourth Quarter 2006

10/04//06 Diary

It was a fun weekend. A Blues Cruise Friday night, and The SRO in San Diego Saturday night. I was in good company too; Leslie and Scott were with me.

I had a few chores to take care of before I could go to the boat Friday, but I made it in time to salute the Queen at noon.

Leslie and Scott got a room at a Motel on PCH, and then came to the boat about five o'clock for a drink before we went to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant for dinner. It's a fun place with continuos showing of high lights of the Forrest Gump Movie on TV screens around the Restaurant.

The Blues Cruise leaves the Dock in Alamitos Bay at eight o'clock, and we wanted to get there a half hour early to pick up our tickets. We left the Restaurant too late to take the Shuttle Bus, so I drove there. We arrived early enough to get our tickets and then go to Busters for a drink before boarding the Cruise Boat.

There wasn't as many people on this cruise as usual. It was the next to last cruse of the year, so the small turnout was a surprise. The last one will be the last Friday in October, and will be a Halloween Costume party so I expect that one will be a sell out. I plan on being there.

The music was great, and we had fun dancing. It was the first for Leslie and she enjoyed the boat trip. The weather was good.

The cruise is normally for three hours; eight to eleven, but for some reason the boat went faster than usual on the return trip from the Queen Mary, and we got back early, so we decided to go to Busters for a while to listen to the Flier Group.

There was some empty tables near the stage which was unusual, but good for us to get up front. we stayed for about an hour. The band was happy to see us, and welcomed us back.

I didn't have any alcohol at Busters, so I was able to drive us back to the boat. Leslie had left her car in the Marina lot, and she and Scott went to their Motel. They planed to take the Amtrak to San Diego early in the morning.

I planned to drive to San Diego. My room mate is having a couple of health problems recently and I was concerned that I may need to abort the trip and go home at any time.

My reservation was at the Old Town Inn for a economy standard that doesn't have a refrigerator, and I wanted to bring some booze and snacks along just in case I ended up with a party of people from the SRO as has happened in the past. I always bring more outfits than I can stuff into one of my suitcases and a train trip puts a restraint on that, but I like to take the train. I will try to do that next trip.

The trip from Long Beach to San Diego was fine until I got to within thirty miles of S.D. then it slowed down, but I arrived about the same time as Leslie and Scott did. It was too early for me to get my room, so I went to their room for a while.

We decided to take the Trolley to town. I drove us to the Station and we took a Trolley to the waterfront for lunch. I was really tired from the drive and still recouping from Friday night. I asked to be excused to go back to my motel, and Leslie and Scott decided to go back to their room at the EZ-8, and have some time in the pool. I went to my room and had a little nap.

Our plan for the evening was to go to a Sea Food Restaurant in Old town for dinner, then take a Taxi to the SRO.

We all each a Shrimp Caesar Salad for dinner at the Bahia Lobster Restaurant, then walked to the Cab Station next to the Tram Station.

I had a little accident as we were walking to the cab. I was busy looking for my address book in my purse to find the address of the SRO. I tripped on a small curb and fell down. I seem to do that a lot lately. I need to be more careful.

We arrived at the SRO about nine o'clock, and found three seats at the bar. There wasn't much of a crowd there at that time, but started to get busy after ten o'clock. It turned out that I was sitting next to a girl that I met on my last visit to the SRO. Her name is Latti, and she was looking more Fem. with her hair and makeup than the last time I saw her. She is very nice.

I didn't see many men worth hitting on. One end of the bar was exclusively gay men that were only interested in other gay men. There was one guy that was interesting, but he only had eyes for Latti. There was another that actually was wearing a suit, that seemed to like older women, but another old broad had him occupied.

I had my two double martinis and a diet coke. Nothing much was happening at midnight, so we decided to leave soon. Scott flagged down a Taxi, and we went back to our Motels.

I need to find another destination for my out of town excursions. Maybe Las Vegas.

I checked out of the Old Town Inn about ten o'clock Sunday, and headed for Long Beach. I got to the boat about eleven thirty, in time to salute the Queen at noon.

I called home to see how things were with my room mate and was told that my Nephew was planning to visit later that afternoon. I had no interest in going to the Observation Bar or the Blue Cafe that afternoon, so I went home to see him.

10/09/06 Diary

Saturday night was magical. Some good, some not so good, but mostly good.

I had planned on going to the Queen Mary, but there was a traffic jam trying to get in for the start of the Halloween haunted ship thing. I turned around and headed for the Runaway Bay bar.

I think the last time I was there was about Halloween last year. Scott was a Judge for the Costume contest. The lady that is the leader of the band asked me where Scott was, and I told her that he was with his girl friend in the dessert. She and Guitarist Chris Noe, stopped at my table on their break.

The night became magic when the band started their next set, and I started my second Gin. Everyone there was dancing with a partner except me, but that soon was corrected when a young man started dancing with me, then a very nice older man came out and broke in. He danced with me for the rest of the night. He was there with his Daughter.

I made two mistakes that night, or it would have been all good. The first mistake was to order a third Martini. I needed to leave early so I could drive back to Long Beach before it really hit me. The second mistake was that I didn’t give my card to the nice gentleman that danced with me.

I took a bunch of pictures of the night, but they were gone when I tried to download them to my computer today. I know they were in the flash card Saturday night because I looked at them when I got back to the boat. I have no idea if I did something wrong or that my camera is acting up again.

I wasn’t feeling very good Sunday. I began having a upset stomach later in the day. I went to bed for a nap, and didn’t wake up until later that night. I changed into my night gown and went back to bed. I slept until seven o’clock Monday. Then I came home

10/16/06 Diary

It was a low key, but pleasurable weekend.

I met Michelle for dinner at Old Tony’s on the Redondo Beach Pier. She looked like she always does; gorgeous as usual. She said she has been going with a more natural look lately. She recently was out with her girl friend in her own hair and just a add on pony tail.

I wish I could do that. My hair is so thin that I would have to have extensions sewed in, and I was told that my hair isn’t strong enough to do that.

We went to the Runaway Bay for a drink and dancing after dinner. I have been reluctant to go to the Queen Mary during the Ship Wreck Halloween thing because the traffic into the Parking lot is really bad, and there has been reports of fights between gangs on the ship as well.

I was also hoping to see the nice Gentleman that danced with me last week at the Runaway Bay. He wasn’t there. There was about the same number of people there, but they seemed to be more subdued.

The music was good and we danced for quite a while.

We left relatively early though. I thought it was after midnight, but saw that it was only about eleven thirty when I got in the car. It was just as well, because there was a light drizzle, and I had a long way to drive. I got back to the boat about midnight,

I was feeling lazy Sunday.

I finally got the energy to get dressed and went to the Queen after the Three o’clock horn. I was surprised that the parking lot was almost empty. I went up to the Observation Bar, and Evon told me that the crowding and the fighting went down when the admission to the Ship Wreck went up from $16/ea. to $30/ea.

There were some Sunday regulars there for Chris and Lisa. Mary was missing.

There were a few girls that were dancing, and I joined them for a few of my favorites.

I stayed until the six o’clock horn, then went back to the boat.

I made myself a steak dinner, then relaxed by going through my stash of old home movies of boat parties on My World and some taped Trans Television Documentaries.

I was feeling good Monday morning and did a few boat repairs that I have been neglecting. Then went home.

10/24/06 Diary

Damn Ship Wreck Halloween activity on the Queen Mary is too popular. I could not even get close to the Queen Saturday night.

I had dinner with Katt at the Naples Rib restaurant early Saturday night, then took her to her job at the Theater.

I went back to the boat after dropping her off, and changed into my red suit with the long skirt to go to the Observation Bar on the Queen Mary.

I left for the Queen about nine o’clock and got as far as the bridge over the river when I got to the end of the line of cars. That’s over one mile to the Ship! There is no way to turn around until you get to the parking lot entrance, so I just crept along to the end. When I got there I could see that the Queen Mary parking lot entrance was coned off and dozens of police was directing every one to the turn around to send us back to Shoreline Drive. You were suppose to use the parking structures for the Pike and the Aquarium, then take a bus to the Ship.

I gave it up and went up town to Pine Ave. I found a parking lot, and walked to the Madison Restaurant. They used to have a Jazz Band there, but now only a Piano Player. I had a Martini to relax. There wasn’t anyone else at the bar, but there were others at tables in the bar room.

The lot where I left my car is near the Sky Room, so I decided to walk there for a drink.

You have to use an elevator with an operator to get to the Sky Room on the top floor. The operator told me I couldn’t go up unless I have a reservation, because both bars are full.

There was an article on Thursday’s Los Angeles Time newspaper about Long Beach and listed the best Restaurants, Bars, and attractions. The list included the QM Ship Wreck, The Madison, and the Sky Room. I guess that is the reason for the crowds.

My last hope for finding someplace to have some fun was Busters, so I drove there. It was almost eleven o’clock by the time I got there, and I was surprised to find the parking lot at Busters wasn’t full. Busters was full though, but I found a bar stool.

Buster’s dance floor is very small, and was always packed. I didn’t know anyone there and no one asked me to dance, so I didn’t get to dance. I think I was the only woman there dressed in an outfit better suited for a upscale venue. I left at the next break, and got back to the boat before midnight.

I spent Sunday helping Rich swap out his stove. He has been having a lot of trouble with it lately, and a neighbor offered to give him an old spare one he has. We pulled Riches stove out and carried it to the dock, then carried the new one in. Unfortunately it didn’t fit right so we had to reverse the process and reinstall the old stove.

I was hoping that I could fix Rich’s stove and put it on my boat. The spare stove wouldn’t fit in my boat.

I jury rigged Rich’s stove so they could cook on it, but just couldn’t use the Oven.

I went home early.

10/30/06 Diary

I planned an early Halloween for Friday and Saturday nights. Some friends from northern California were coming to the area for a Dignity Cruise out of San Pedro and they were going to come to the boat Friday night, then Scott and Leslie were coming Saturday.

The Queen Mary Ship Wreck activity is seven to midnight Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, so you have to get into the parking lot before seven. My friends, Heidi and Monika, and their traveling companion Abby planned to come to the boat about five o'clock for a drink, then we were going to go to the QM for dinner and dancing.

I called them about five and they said they had just returned to their hotel in San Pedro after shopping for stuff to replace the grooming liquids that Abby couldn't bring on the plane from England. They finally got to the boat about Six. We had just enough time for a drink then went to the QM a bit after six thirty.

We were able to get into the parking lot by telling the person at the gate that we going to the restaurant, and we were not there for the Ship Wreck.

We went to the Sir Winston's Lounge for a drink before dinner. I was surprised to see a Jazz singer and a piano accompanist there. My friend Katt Tate was singing there earlier this year and she was let go because there wasn't enough people spending time in the Lounge. That seems to still be the case, because we were the only people in the lounge.

We had a couple of drinks then went to the Promenade Cafe for dinner. Abby entertained us with stories about the Oil Business and the RAF. My plan was to go to the Observation Bar for dancing and a drink after dinner, but when we got there Abby said he didn't want to go in because the music was too loud to be able talk. He was right, but I thought that he was finished with his story telling.

I talked them into going into the OB for one drink, then I would take them back to the Marina to their car. I had a Martini, and one dance then we left.

It was early when we got back. My guests went back to San Pedro, and I went home to the boat. It was too early to go to bed and I didn't feel like trying to find someplace else to go so I watched a movie and went to bed.

Saturday night was a BLAST!

Leslie and Scott came to the boat Saturday afternoon to get ready for the Queen Mary. They had checked into a motel close by.

Leslie already had her silver Space Suit on, but Scott needed to change into his "Sarah" costume and get made up. I also needed to get ready, but my costume was simply a long summer dress, with a lei, a flower in the hair and a flower bracelet for a Hawaiian look.

We dressed Scott in a red dress and red hair. He really looked good.

We had a six thirty reservation in the Sir Winston's, and we got there in time to have a drink in the Lounge. The singer was there again, but wasn't scheduled to start performing until six thirty.

We had a nice table by a starboard window overlooking the harbor and the city. The food and service was excellent as usual. I had Venison chops that were great.

We went to the Observation Bar after dinner. It was early enough that we had no problem getting a good table on the bar floor. The room got packed later.

We were very popular with the crowd, There a bunch of people asking to take a picture of us and to take photos with us. There was one girl that danced with us and kept asking me if I was a man or a woman. I told her I used to be a man but now I am a woman. She asked about Leslie and Scott, and I told her Leslie was strictly a woman and Scott was strictly a man, and that there were engaged to be married.

I can't remember when we left. but it was before I had too much to drink.

Leslie, Scott, and I had breakfast in the Long Beach Cafe Sunday morning, then we went to the boat for a while. We had thought about going to see Chris and Lisa at the Observation Bar, but I think we were just too tired. Leslie and Scott left to go home, and I took a little nap.

I went to Rich and Leena's boat to take a look at their stove to see if a switch I had would fit, but decided that it would require putting new connectors on all the wires and it would be better to use a switch compatible with existing wiring.

I had a light dinner and went home.

11/07/06 Diary

It was an interesting and fun weekend.

I went to Leslie and Scott’s Cactus Castle Saturday, and was extremely impressed with what Leslie has done with her home.

The Castle is located in an area called Oak Hills a few miles north west of Cajone Summit. I stopped at the gas station and food stop at the Summit and called Scott to get final directions, and he talked me in for that last five miles. His directions included “leave the paved road”. I had been warned about one place where the so called road went down into an arroyo. WOW, was that a ride!!! I arrived at the Castle safely with only a slight spasm in my neck from that experience.

Leslie belongs to a Rocket Club that keeps their trailer with some of the Clubs equipment in the back next to her work shop. and some Rocketeers were there preparing the trailer for a rocket meet next weekend. BTW, her work shop is equipped better than some commercial Machine Shops I have been to.

Leslie gave me a quick tour of the first floor before the lunch that was being prepared by the Rocket Club a the BBQ in the rear patio. She gave me a more thorough tour after lunch so I could really appreciate the place.

The entire house is wired with a computer network that is controlled by a master computer called HAL There are individual computers in most rooms that can allow you to control the lighting and environmental conditions in the room or the house. Leslie can also contol it from her office in Hollywood or from her laptop computer from anywhere. HAL will also call her cell phone with a text message if there is any anomoly detected.

The crown Jewel of the Castle is her Theater. It is a room set up to play DVD movies, HDTV, or other TV on a very large screen from a projector. The room is light and sound proof, with a excellent sound system. She demonstrated it by playing the lift off from the Apollo 13 Movie. My chair rattled from the sound. We watched the movie Different for Girls later.

We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner Saturday night, then went to a Country Western Bar out in the boon docks somewhere for KARIOKE. It was a fun evening.

I left for Long Beach Sunday morning.

I arrived at the boat about eleven o’clock Sunday morning. and did a little house cleaning.

I went to Rich and Leena’s boat after lunch to try to fix their stove. It hasn’t worked right for a few weeks. I found a power selector switch that I thought would fix the problem, but I needed to really understand the logic of the wiring because it seemed to be wired wrong according to the schematic. I finally figured it out, corrected it and got the stove running properly.

I went home after dinner

11/13/06 Diary

I have been down with a cold most of last week. I finally felt good enough to get to the boat Sunday.

Rich and Leena invited me to their boat for dinner early Sunday afternoon. Rich made a wonderful Pork Wienerschnitzel with all the trimmings. It was accompanied by lots of wine. It was a nice visit. I stumbled back to my boat about six o’clock and took a two hour nap.

I was suppose to go home Sunday night, but I didn’t want to, so I called Katt to see if she wanted to go somewhere for a drink. I picked her up about nine o’clock and we went to a Hof’s Hut for a snack and a couple of drinks.

I took her home and went back to the boat, watched some TV and went to bed about midnight.

I went home Monday morning.

!!/20/06 Diary

Life is a Roller Coaster, I have been down lately with a cold, and a lack of confidence in my femininity, but I got a good shot of confidence Saturday night.

I have been busy with home repairs before Thanksgiving so I didn’t get to the boat until noon Saturday.

I spent the afternoon going through my wardrobe, and checked out some dress suits that I had in my attic. There were two that I really liked, so I took them to be dry cleaned.

I have been spending a lot of time in drab lately and I wanted to get as feminine as I could, but most of my outfits are for mature woman, and not too sexy. I settled on my default little black FMD*.

I started at the Sir Winston’s Bar. The singer had another new piano player, and I asked her why she can’t keep them. She has had three different piano player in the last three times I have been there,

I had planned to have dinner at the Promenade Cafe, but changed my mind and asked for a table in the Sir Winstons Restaurant. The Manager took me to a nice table, and I had a great Salmon dinner.

I went down to the Observation Bar about ten o’clock. It was crowded, but one of the tables on the Bar level was open and I grabbed it.

I had a ball! The LA Lion was playing all my favorites, and I danced with some of the other single women, and a couple of guys. An old friend “BIG John’ came in, and joined me at my table. Later Dan, one of the comedians from the Comedy Club upstairs came to my table and told me that I looked gorgeous, and I told him that he did also. He danced with me for a while, and had fun, but I knew that it wasn’t going anywhere. It felt great though.

I left when the band took their midnight break.

At the Observation Bar Saturday night

I wanted to go home earlier than I usual do Sunday because I had a lot to do Monday. I had breakfast then spent some time cleaning the cabin, and sorting out what I wanted to take home to store for the winter.

I wanted to check out a motel in the west side to stay at the Sunday of the LAGC Holiday Party on December 3rd. I also planned to have dinner at the Chaya Brassiere where Jennifer will be playing that night. I drove to the Travel Lodge on my way home, then stopped at the Cafe D’ etolie in West Hollywood for dinner.

I got home early Sunday night.

Note:* Fuck Me Dress

!!/27/06 Diary

I went to the Observation Bar Saturday night to listen to James King do his Elvis shtick. The place was fairly full but I didn’t have any problem finding an empty table near the dance floor.

The usual James King admiration gang was there, but I couldn’t figure out what the rest of the crowd were there for. No one was dancing, and the audience reaction to James’ performance was luke warm. I think James was down a little too.

I danced a few times on an empty stage. I had my two martinis then switched to coffee until midnight, then went home to the boat.

James will be playing at the Observation Bar for the next two weekends.

Dancing on an empty stage

The Harbor was calm on Sunday morning so I took the boat to the pump out station, then took her out for a short high speed run out to one of the oil islands, then went to the fuel dock to fill my main tank. She ran good, but the port engine is getting a little hot at speed.

I have a new neighbor on the dock with a boat that is almost the same as mine. His is a 1981 33’ Carver and mine is a 1978. The hull and cabin layout are the same, but his has twin diesels and mine are gas, but I have more horse power. The main difference is that his looks like new, and mine looks like hell in comparison. I am now motivated to get My World cleaned up.

I came home early Sunday evening.

12/07/06 Diary

Sometimes I wonder why the hell I don’t go full time and complete the process while I’m able. Almost everyone I met last weekend assumed that I was a Genetic Girl and treated me as such. I loved it!

Saturday night was James King night at the Queen. The crowd was about the same as last weekend except there was a singles group there, but still there was no one dancing until I bribed James to do Mustang Sally. Even then it was only the girls that danced, but at least I got the crowd moving.

One of the girls sitting at the bar with me asked why I was all dressed up (most of the other girls were wearing jeans). I told her that I got my turquoise Coat-Dress out of my closet because I liked it and I though I might wear it to the Transgender Party I was going to Sunday. She thought that was cool.

A nice guy from Fresno sat next to me a little later and we talked for quite a while about how he was educated as a Civil Engineer and was now in the pharmacy business. He was staying on the ship, and I was tempted to let him show me his cabin, but I decided to just give him my card and let him decide if he wanted to get to know me better later. Then I said good by and left the ship.

Saturday at the Observation Bar
with a friend at the OB

My plan for Sunday was to go to the LAGC Holiday Party at the Abbey in West Hollywood in the afternoon, then to the Chaya that night to see Jennifer and her Jumby Trio.

I checked into the Travel Lodge across Santa Monica Blvd. from the Mormon Temple early Sunday afternoon. I got to the LAGC Party about Three Thirty.. The turn out wasn’t as good as in past years, and I only recognized a few of the girls there.

Suzanne, Jennifer, and Layla were there, and of course the hostess Marie Keller and her staff. I had a couple of glasses of Merlot and left about Five o’clock.

I walked to the Cafe D’entole which is just on the other side of Santa Monica Blvd. from the Abbey. I had a Martini and a lamb shank dinner. The Cafe’s Bartender/Host from a few years ago saw me and gave me a hug and kiss to welcome me back.

I drove down Robertson Blvd. to the Chaya and parked in their Valet lot. Jennifer was in the process of setting up for her Gig, and there wasn’t too may people there yet, so I got a seat at the bar near the band.

I ordered a Martini and started a conversation with a nice lady sitting next to me. She is a TV Actress in her Sixties. We really hit it off, and discussed our wigs (hers due to Chemotherapy, and mine due to thin white hair) and other personal things. Some of the girls from the GC Party came in a little later and my new friend commented about one of the girls talking like a man. I told her that she was a transsexual, and that some of the other girls around us including myself are TS also. She was surprised and said she never would have guessed.

I left when Jennifer took her nine o’clock break, and decided to have a night cap at the Cafe.

What a blast! I was the Belle of the place. My old bartender friend insisted that he buy me a drink, Then a group of three guys hit on me and one very nice member of that trio wanted to buy me a drink, and a lesbian sitting in a booth by the bar wanted to get into my pants. She kept taking my hand and putting it on her bare tits and kissing me. The nice guy wanted to take me home. I enjoyed the attention, but I didn’t want to drink any more alcohol, and I needed to get back to my room and sleep. I had some diet coke and left about midnight.

I had an Appointment with Dr. Horowitz late Monday morning. I needed to go to the boat, then get back to WeHo to his office by 11:45. I was late but so was he, then I had to get my room mate to the Hospital for her pre-0peration checkout, so it was a busy day.

12/22/06 Diary

Scott and Leslie got married last weekend. It was a beautiful ceremony, and Leslie was gorgeous in her gown. Scott looked good in his tux too, but I think the pants were a little short for this bean pole.

I was the photographer, and I completely screwed that job up. I started by breaking Leslie’s expensive camera, then went on to have the wrong settings on my camera, and the video camera, so there were very few good photos. I think my dementia is getting worse, and it is getting scary. .

The rehearsal was Friday night at the Simi Valley Lutheran Church. Scott, Leslie, Leslie’s Cousin Dave, the best man Dan, and Liz the Made of Honor walked through the sequence with the Pastor, and the Wedding Coordinator. I received my instructions on when I could take flash pictures, and where the video camera could be set up. I took a bunch of pictures during the rehearsal.

I had a reservation at the Motel 6 for Saturday night, and I got there about two. I changed into my suit and got to the Church at three, when Leslie was due. Leslie and Liz arrived soon after me, and I took the cameras she had brought into the church and set them up.

I put the Video on a tripod focused at the spot where the Wedding Service would take place, so that they would be facing the camera. I started to set up Leslie’s camera on a tripod facing the entrance and aisle to the alter, then the Wedding Coordinator told me that Leslie was dressed, and I could go take pictures in the dressing room, so I started to take her camera off the tripod and the tripod fell over and the camera knocked against a pew. It didn’t work when I tried taking pictures of Leslie. Screw up number one!

I took pictures of her with my camera.

Scott, Dan, and Dave arrived and I took some pictures of them with my camera.

I went up to the Alter podium about five minutes before the service was going to start, checked the video camera, and started it recording. Apparently I didn’t have the focus set properly, because I was told later that most of the recording was out of focus. Screw up number two!

The service started with Scott, Dan, and Liz coming down the aisle, and I took flash photos of them with my camera. The Organist started the Wedding march and Leslie, escorted by Dave started down the aisle, and I took pictures of them. I looked at the results in my camera display, and I thought they were OK, but I found out later that they were blurred, because the Auto setting I had it on goes to a longer exposure setting when the light level is low, and I didn’t keep the camera steady. Screw up number three!

The ceremony was beautiful and I took some pictures without the flash. I don’t know how those turned out, because I gave the memory card to Leslie.

We were able to take flash pictures after the service, and we also took some with the video camera which I think turned out OK, except for the flash reflections off Scott and Leslie’s glasses. :- /

We all went to the reception and Dinner at a nice Italian restaurant and I took some more pictures

Scott, Leslie, Liz, and I changed into our street cloths after the dinner was over, and went to a KARIOKE Bar to relax and celebrate. They drove me to my motel later, so I was able to get a little drunk. I got some good shots of the newly weds

I went to the boat Sunday morning. I called Katt, and invited her to lunch. I picked her up about one o’clock and we went to a restaurant called the Rainbow room. She has a chance to get a gig there, and wanted to meet the owner. It’s nice place, and the Sunday brunch was pretty good.

We went to the Blue Cafe for The Mama’s Boys next.

BTW; I was in drab all this weekend, because I didn’t want to cause any embarrassment during the wedding in case I was clocked, and I just didn’t feel like dressing Sunday because I was going home early Sunday night.

I didn’t think anyone would recognize me at the Blue Cafe, because I have never been there in drab, but I was wrong! Everyone recognized me! I just told them it was temporary.

I had a glass of wine, and danced a little. We stayed for one set, and I took Katt home.

I took a nap, and had dinner at the Long Beach Cafe, then drove home.

I hope you had a jolly Christmas. We had me, my spouse, two daughters, three grand kids, a son-in-law, a future son-in-law, a sister, and brother in law from Wisconsin, and a Nephew for dinner Christmas day. .

I managed to get to the boat Saturday, and went to the Observation Bar Saturday night. James King was performing. There was a happy group there and I had a good time.

Happy New Year.

My new years resolution for Saturday night was to not drink and drive because of all the drunk check points in Long Beach, and especially in the area around the Queen Mary, the Pike, and down town.

I picked Katt up about five o’clock, and we started the evening with a bottle of Champaign on the boat.. We took the shuttle bus to Gladstones in the Pike area for a fish dinner, then walked to the Mia Tia for drinks and music.

We arrived early enough to get a couch in view of the Band. The Band was still setting up. It was a Ragga band which isn’t my favorite type of music, but the band was actually pretty good.

I had a couple of Martinis then switched to coffee (with Baileys).

We left about eleven o’clock, and I took Katt home.
