20th August, 1973 began the story called Indrajit Chatterjee, that's me .....
A source of little joy and a lot of botheration to his parents, since early childhood, I was born and brought up in the 'City of Joy', Kolkata, which is the capital city of the state of
West Bengal and one of the biggest metropolises of India.
I did my schooling from Don Bosco School, Park Circus, Kolkata (with three years spent at Don Bosco School, Delhi), and passed out in 1992 after 12 gruelling but exciting years. This was followed by graduation from the Department of Statistics of Presidency College, Kolkata, for my graduation.
I started working early, shrugging off the pressures of post-graduation. After a 5 month training at Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta I joined PCL-Mindware in Nov, 1995 as a software developer.
Well after 26 years of ups and downs and a tireless grind of life, 17th January 2000 was when a new chapter of my life began. Debjani, the cute and bubbly girl who had livened up my life for quite some time finally got married to me. My wife is also a software engineer working with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
In between, I completed my PGDBM from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta passing out in 2002 and at present I am working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kolkata.
I spend most of my spare time listening to music. You may take a peek into my musical tastes here. I am a cricket fanatic and wish I could spend my time just playing the game I love so much. I also love reading thrillers. Tom Clancy &
Frederick Forsyth are my favourite authors. Rest of whatever I get in the year, is spent at the movies :)
I would like to take this oppurtunity to mention and thank all my relatives who have helped shape whatever I am today and given me support whenever I have need.
Lastly, in case you are wondering what has 'ICY' got to do with me - well that is what I am called by my friends - 'IC' (my initials) which has gradually been transformed into 'ICY'.
