JOE MEADE
Assistant Coach

Joe Meade, begins his second season as a member of the Owls' coaching staff. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and then received his Master's Degree in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy.

Meade served as the assistant coach in 1999-00 at the University of New Haven. Was named 1997 CUNY Conference Coach of the Year at City University of New York Lehman College, where he served as head coach for four seasons.

Meade resides in Milford with his wife Soledad.



C.J. SHAMAS
Assistant Coach

C.J. Shamas, joins the Owls for his first season as a member of the coaching staff. Shamas was a three-year letter winner at Trumbull high school. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.

He has been a volunteer assistant coach at Norwalk High School for the past three years, and is a teacher at Staples High School in Westport, Conn.

C.J. has worked at several prestigious basketball summer camps, including Slamma Jamma, the University of Maryland Basketball Camp, and also the University of Connecticut camp. C.J. currently resides in Trumbull, Conn.



T.J. TRIMBOLI
Assistant Coach

T.J.Trimboli, a four year starter from 1996-2000, ranks among the all time greats in the history of Southern Connecticut basketball. He currently ranks fifth on the Owls' alltime scoring list (1,805 pts.) and first in assists (410).

Trimboli also holds records for most games played in a career (120), most games in a season (32), highest free throw percentage in a season (.912 in 1998-99),highest free throw percentage for a career (.880), highest 3-Point FG percentage for a career (.412), and most 3-Point FG made (221).

Trimboli was named NECC Player of the Year in 1999-00. T.J.'s younger brother, Bobby is the starting point guard for Southern.
