A simple touch, a loving glance,
The movement of a graceful dance.
A walk along a sandy beach,
A leaf, a twig, fuzzy peach.
The sound of rain upon the roof,
The babbling brook, to some aloof.
A childs laugh, a lovers coo,
The emerald grass, the morning dew.
T'would be so sweet to hold YOUR hand,
With bare feet, walking in that sand.
I love the simple things, you see,
Together till eternity.
From thinest air your voice rings plain
Nothing to lose and all to gain.
Should I come or just stay still?
The answer lies in your perfect will.
For love and thee go hand in hand,
Like the hourglass must have the sand.
You show me each and every day,
your purest heart, your gentle way.
The poets words seem dead and cold
Compared to the love for you I hold.
Its blanket a wrap for our kindred souls
Tightly woven free of holes.
The warmth it gives can cut the chill,
Or coldest winter and barren still.
From all I've seen in all my life,
In time of joy and times of strife.
The love I feel for you doth shine,
So blessed I am that you are mine.
