Ever need a complete ascii chart for Macs? Well, i found one right on Apple's Developer site: http://devworld.apple.com/dev/cftype/ascii.html
If you are creating your own files with a custom creator code, you BETTER register it with Apple, and check to be sure it doesn't already exist. Nasty things can happen otherwise. Also, please note that ALL LOWERCASE CREATOR CODES are reserved by Apple. You can search and register your creators at: http://devworld.apple.com/dev/cftype/find.html
After you've registered your creator code, compiled your killer app, and started distributing it, you'll more than likely want to register it with Apple's Listing of Macintosh Software. Doing so puts it in the worldwide lists of available Macintosh Software, and hey, you never know, you may end up getting called by MacMall. You can perform this wonderful function at: http://www.macsoftware.apple.com/update/index.html
