I
went to Australia expecting to stay there and work for a year but left for
New Zealand a couple of months after the Year 2000 celebrations. Out of the
2 countries, I enjoyed New Zealand more. This was probably due mainly to all
the problems we had with our car (leading to severe money expenditure) and
the long distances between towns and cities in Australia, but also because
I found NZ cheaper and the people more friendly.
