No.6: ONE MINUTE WALK
Players: any number.
Equipment: a stop watch.
This is a good game to play when everyone is about to leave the party, for it rounds off the evening entertainingly and only takes one minute. All the players have to do is to walk from one end of the room to the other in precisely one minute -no more, no less. Their watches are confiscated and any the clocks in the room are veiled. Then the host/hostess holds up the stop-watch and tells the players when to start walking steadily, with an even pace, towards the winning line. Players who stop in mid-walk, or arrive at the winning line before the minute is up, are out. Once the minute is up, the host cries "Halt!", and the player nearest the winning line is the winner.
